Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 116 Spoilers - Earning Sukuna’s Respect.
Even Jogo out here bawling. This week’s Jump just handing the tissues out.

Jogo out here thinking he’s hot stuff, while Sukuna’s smirking sideways like he’s about to drop the most fire album of 2020, you love to see it.
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 116 opens up with a cover page that pretty much sums up what's to come. A Full confidence Sukuna cradling a fireball in the palm of his hand, as if he’s toying with it. And you guessed it, the symbolism is bang on, as Sukuna’s actual plaything all along has been fire personified, the cure spirit Jogo.
The actual artwork for the cover page is a masterclass in simplicity, with Sukuna’s fiery hand in the foreground draping Sukuna’s menacing stare deeper in the panel with foreboding overcasting shadow. This is how you know it’s going to kick off.
Next up is a double page spread of the two combatants standing on top of the meteor fireball that Jogo summoned previously and through a wide angle shot we can see how the carnage has ripped through the landscape and how far removed these guys are in terms of raw power from the average joe sorcerers and pitiful monkeys, i mean humans.
Following this we get some pretty sleek hand model shots, both of Sukuna and then Jogo manipulating fire with just there hand technique visible on a pitch black background, ultimately leading in to the mexican standoff panel. Jogo opting for the fireball and Sukuna with a classic flame elemental arrow attack.
And what proceeds this is my favorite part of the chapter, completely subverting my expectations as I;m sitting here thinking, here we go, fire beam struggle and a double page spread of a now decimated city as if 10 nukes had just gone off.
But no! Instead we have a bit of a round robin with Sukuna, Jogo, Hanami and Dagon in the spirit realm. I say spirit realm but maybe it’s more akin to purgatory, or to be uber fitting for the these particular curses, perhaps its a dimensional intermediate they visit before the curses are rebirthed, or reincarnated.
Semantics aside, every day is a school day and Sukana sits these kids down. We get some cool exposition about how Mahito is the inverse of humans of the living world and foreshadowing how, despite his appearance and demeanour, really he’s still an infant with exponential growth to come. The absolute bamboozler in this chapter comes up next is Sukuna praising Jogo for being strong and Jogo in turn being reduced to tears. A. Jogo crying is pretty out of character, but I think it elevates the emphasis on the power gap between the two and the reason Jogo is moved, is because he is receiving respect from THE king of curses. Thuradays can’t come quick enough right now, and if you’re here watching, you’re probably on my wavelength. So how about we check out some of the Demon Slayer spoilers for this week’s Kimetsu no yaiba, chapter 202.
We closed out last week inches away from Tanjiro’s claws piercing Inosuke’s neck. And this chapter opens up with a panel of Inosukes shoulders and upwards, and blood splattering.
However all is not as it seems as we find out on the following page, Nezuko bodyblocks for inosuke, and the blood is all hers, as Tanjiro sinks his teeth into her shoulder. Ouch.
Only midly grusome, and somewhat expected for Nezuko to step in and play the sister card, in an attemp to sway and supress his bloodlust.
OK from here on out, I’m going to try to translate some with my garbage Japanese. This disclaimer is me saying, my translations are probably wrong, im not using google translate because it takes ages, and if you flame me in the comments for spreading misinformation you can take a long walk off a short pier.
Ok so while Tanjio’s chomping down on Nezuko, she strikes up small talk in an attempt to passify him saying:
O-nii chan, karou ne, uchi ni kaerou.
Translating tosimply, Bruh, let’s go, back home.
Switching to chad Inosuke who doesn’t even give Tanjiro a chance to reply, berates him 6 feet into the ground saying:
Ga-Ga Iuuna nezuko ni kaga toka sasenjyanee Omae sonna sonna yatsu Jyanaidaro
As - Stop babling on, I ain’t gonna let you hurt nezuko, this aint you, you aint like this.
Following up with: anna ni yasasshikattta no ni, moto no tanjiro ni modoreyoooo
Meaning, Go back to being the kind Tanjiro you used to be. Of course being Inosuke, he executes this line paired with a solid bonk to Tanjiro’s head to really hit the point home.
Then the comedy is cut short, and Tanjiro releases a shockwave that blasts inosuke back, however nezuko stays afixed to Tanjiro.
And it’s at this point, this point, where the chapter gets turned up to 11 and goes absolutely nuts.
Tanjiro sprouts tentacles a la Muzan, four looking like ivy vines, and one resembling a spine, but much longer and looking particularly dangerous.
Then out of nowhere, seriously left shield, Tanjiro summons an enrgy ball. From his mouth and looks as if he is about to vaproise everyone ont he scene indesciminately.
Nezuko realising the danger yells
“Daremo korosunaide, o nii chan, onegai”
Dont kill anyone, please, I beg you.

OK friends anime fried chicken here. Chainsaw Man 96 opens up continuing with Denji’s defeat and Makima beginning her conquest of the world with her new chainsaw powers bringing humanity to its knees.
Psyche, ha, some of you losers believed me. As if it was going to be that simple. Strap in for another comically unpredictable chapter of Chainsaw Man Starting with the first page, Makima just having a smoke. Like after a great lay, Makima revelling in the satisfaction and Euphoria of having taken down the great chainsaw man and swimming in the blood of her enemies.
You know what, thug it let’s speed run this. Makima had been fighting Pochita this whole damn, time. Remember how I said chainsaw man looked different in that last fight as he had mechanised hands, that’s because in essence it wasn’t Denji, it was Pochita. Then after pochita was defeated by Makima, Denji flanked Makima while her guard was down and was all like SUPRISE MOTHTRUCKER and chopped up Makima using a chainsaw reinforced by Power’s blood, wreaking havoc on Makima’s internals and interfering with her regeneration. But the thing is, chopping her up isn’t enough to kill Makima, and if the chainsaw man is going to erase the control devils name and finish her proper like, he’s going to need to take her home in tupperware, cook her up in a stir fry and enjoy her 900 calories at a time 3 meals a day. He thugginging eats her. DIDNT SEE THAT COMING DID YA.
I’m all for the insanity of the direction chainsaw man tangents down each week keeping me on my toes guessing what bat shed avenue Denji’s heading down this week. But goddamn am I frustrated that there is 1 chapter left. Obviously not every shounen jump serialisation is going to be a one thousand chapter banger like One Piece, but it does feel like we’re getting spitroasted with two curve balls here. Makima’s character arc and demise could have been fleshed out a little further, and secondly why not show us more primal fear devils and the realm of hell. What happened to meeting with the new blood devil, becoming friends with them and telling tales of the great Power that once. And yes I see the irony in me wanting Makima’s end more fleshed out, when she was literally fleshed out and flayed into stirfry and bat soup.
Let me tell you a story. Young Anime Fried Chicken starts reviewing Kimetsu no Yaiba, Demon slayer, believing it to be the best of the new generation of Jump. And it was. 6000 miles couldn't keep me from seeing Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul.
A non-spoilery review and my thoughts n' feelings for the film.

Imagine creating one of the most unique dark fantasy, adventure anime manga series of all time, but only releasing a chapter every 6 months and depriving the fandom of new animated material for two years.
If Made in Abyss was anything less than perfect then maybe I'd be angry. But then, perhaps perfect is an understatement. Seriously.
Picture this, a chad by the name of anime fried chicken discovers Made in Abyss at the end of 2019, powers through the anime, and when discovering that the shows only runs for 13 episodes, he starts pulling out his hair and spitting out his teeth as if he was afflicted by the 5th level's abyssial curse.
How can a show so sweet be so short? Alas, the source manga, a web comic publication is miles ahead of the show, providing you with at least a couple more weeks worth of Reg, Riku and Nanachi adventure, right?
Well actually you finish all 53 chapters in a single day, and a single sitting sitting at that. So what's next? Kidnap the managka and force them to finish more chapters at gunpoint? That's not practical…
But then as if by divine intervention, a light shines at the end of the tunnel. Salvation has presented it itself in the form of Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul. A movie continuation of the manga covering the Bondrewd arc.
Premiering in January 2020, being so soon after my introduction with the show, and in peak hype, I couldn't be happier. I check the theater locations for the nearest screening, and its tokyo, Japan. And with no English release of the film announced, plan B comes into play. Google maps tells me it's a 13 hour trip to Tokyo, and I book my ticket.
Ok enough prologue. I went to Japan and watched Made In Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul. And you better believe I listened to the new soundtrack on loop for 11 hours on the airplane. It's stunning.
I arrive in Tokyo, check into my hotel, and head to a nearby movie theater that exclusively plays anime films. I grab my ticket and head in, the lights fade to black and it begins.

So, real talk the movie was perfect. If you're watching this as an anime only, I'll keep this review spoiler free, only going as far as not giving away anything story wise beyond whats seen in the trailer.
Starting with the story. If you've enjoyed the made in abyss tv anime up to this point, expect more of the greatness you've come to love.
I'm sure you were emotionally shattered with Mitty's storyline, and you've only just recovered from the heartbreak. But fear not, Dawn of the Deep Soul will once again break

When I mention the name Urokodaki of Demon Slayer, what comes to mind? Gentle old man, teacher, master? Perhaps you think of him as a symbol of justice, part of the Demon Slayer old guard that’s paid his dues undoing evil.
What if I told you everything you thought you knew about Urokodaki was wrong. What if I told you he has innocent blood on his hands and is nothing short of a monster. This is all canon and not clickbait.
Through sleight of hand narrative tricks and distraction in storytelling, Goutoge the author of Demon Slayer has pulled the goddamn wool over your eyes.
Maybe this is what you last remember of Urokodaki: a heartfelt embrace as Tanjiro miraculously returns from the selection exam and Nezuko wakes up from her Coma. Look at those crocodile tears.
Here’s what I remember. Urokodaki feeding the hand demon 13 of his own students. Executing them by proxy. Giving them a freaking death sentence. Do you know why he wears the mask? I’ll tell you why he’s wearing his mask. This psycho is smiling ear to ear as he ushers these children to their early grave.
Tell me if I’m wrong, but did Urokodaki warn Tanjiro of the giant Demon he had been feeding over the years? Exponentially more dangerous than any other Demon in the Wisteria prison and one that Urokodaki placed in their himself, personally? thugg no. What’s it to him?
I’m almost convinced the mask Urokodaki gives to his victims is just a bulls eye so the Hand Demon knows which children to murder quickest. It sickens me to my core.
Let me know in the comments if you reckon Urokodaki just thinks this is a twisted necessary ritual in order to produce entry level Demon Slayers. Or if he really is just turning a blind eye feigning ignorance, or perhaps just indulging in lost life. Bastard.

Anime Fried Chicken back once again with another Demon Slayer : Kimetsu no yaiba video. How’s it going Demon Slayer fan boys and fan girls. Righttt the video no one asked for, literally no one. Explaining Nezuko’s box. Like seriously, I’ve got subscribers asking for breakdowns of some crazy stuff going on in the manga, like some real hardcore shounen battle madness that I’d love to analyse. But here I am, a video about Nezuko’s box. If for some strange reason you enjoy this box related video please subscribe, I’m just starting out and it helps a ton, and I’m replying to all comments. So I’d like to go super deep in this video and say that the box Nezuko dwells within and carried by Tanjiro, has some deep contextual meaning, leads the narrative of the story and struggles through a gripping redemption arc. But like it’s, a box?
Alas, you wouldn’t be here watching this video if you didn’t believe it yourself that the author Koyoharu had grand plans for Nezuko’s box, so lets dive into the nitty gritty. To the time the box, wasn’t even a box (hashtag boxception).
In episode two Tanjiro and Nezuko pass by a couple of farmers and buy from them a broken basket, some bamboo and straw. The handy tanjiro quickly mends, reinforces and makes impervious to light said basket, and then we get this moe, cute girls doing cute things scene. Disgusting. They encounter the head demon, make quick work of him, and as sunrise came, we find Nezuko had made her way back to the basket and made her self quite comfortable. Nezuko and Basket Best friends forever.
Urokodaki challenges Tanjiro to keep up with him while carrying Nezuko. This super fast, full on sprinting, former Demon Slayer corps Pillar, wants this hillbilly kid to keep up with him while carrying a 70lb deadweight on his back. Meanwhile Nezuko. . But anime logic so he actually does it. Good job Tanjiro.
Flash back time. Literally one of the opening shots of Demon Slayer episode one and he’s carrying a damn basket. This is foreshadowing and easter egg gold. Tanjirou’s origin story explains how he is so proficient at moving around at speed while carrying a heavy load on his back. He would travel down the mountain and to the nearest village regularly to sell charcoal, of which he carried a ton on his back. Well not a ton, I attempted to approximate the volume of space in the charcoal basket and equate that to the density of charcoal to calculate a weight and compare that to the app

Chapter 196 Review. Demon Slayer : Kimetsu no Yaiba manga.

One hundred and ninety six chapters and they’ve finally done it. Our girl Nezuko is finally, finally human again.The chapter opens up with Nezuko in a half human half demon hybrid state, stumbling through rice fields presumably on the way to the battlefield to find Tanjiro.
And on this journey, she is effectively dragged along by Muzan’s memories, infecting her with visions of him killing her family and injecting her with his blood. This is her origin story - and it’s absolutely brutal.
And it’s made clear that this attack on the kamado household and demonisation of Nezuko was entirely deliberate. With Muzan hoping Nezuko would be the one to conquer the sun, all that time ago.
Now with nezuko battling this anger, she has flashes of the other side of the coin, her remembering everyone she has met that has helped her along her journey of regaining her humanity.
Urokodaki, Tomioka, Tamayo, Yuushiro, the butterfly estate girls, Zenitsu, Inosuke, even the arsehole brothers Genya and Sanemi get a mention.
But as Nezuko is on the cusp of reversing her demon transformation, it’s Tanjiro that pulls her through. And with his dorky smile at the forefront of her memories, she does it. Her claws retract into regular fingernails, her fangs fade and she has a pair of regular ol’ eyeballs. She’s human again.
Now as leisurely as Nezuko is taking her stroll, Muzan and Tanjiro are fighting for survival and it’s total warfare over there. However, Muzan is on the backfoot, so far on his backfoot, that he’s tripping over himself. His fatigue is reaching its maximum, he’s out of stamina , it’s do or die.
Time to split his cells and go nuclear. An expulsion of Muzan chunks projectile vomited in every direction, guaranteeing at least some will escape and be able to reform.
But, he can’t. He’s fugged. He’s running his mind over the poisons that are coursing through his body wondering how they could be stopping him from his final escape move. And then it’s all explained to us by a visualisation of the absorbed Tamyo cradling the head of a horror-stricken Muzan.
That rotten horse, what has she done?! The final nail in his coffin. There were in fact 4 poisons in total and the last one is to suppress him from splitting and escaping. Perfect.
Now predictions for next weeks chapter from me can be split into two different scenarios:
Route A.
The happy ending. Tamayos poisons cripple Muzan and quite simply with no twists or turns, Tanjiro ends Muzan with Breath of the sun forms in succession destroying all of Muzan’s hearts and brains. Nezuko arrives to watch him burn as the sun rises for Dawn. Tanjiro is stitched up, and they

Is it me or is there a repeating pattern of, Denji fighting for his life tooth and nail, and then the following chapter Makima just wrapping Denji round her finger with promises of fulfilling his wildest dreams and teasing him with what could be.
Well damn I guess it’s one of those, Chainsaw Man chapter 80 spoilers are out and it looks like a mini time skip, maybe days, weeks, months after the tragic fight between my two boys. And Before seeing Makima seduce Denji, We see Aki’s estate was divided up and it looks like he has given half to dead ol’ himeno’s family and half to Denji.
And honestly the money looks to be doing Denji wonders, as he goes on to say with the money he was able to rent a nice place for himself and power, even if it is a little tight he genuinely seems to be happy.
Afterall simple Denji has always enjoyed the simple things in life, as he talks about using the money to buy delicious food and trying eel for the first time. He’s even been able to enjoy his time with power outside of work with them playing games together and watching movies.
But all of that is nothing, compared to the time he has been able to spend with Makima, our favorite seductress, the control devil.
And, it’s a bit of a weird scene, as the first time we met Makima she had alluded to Denji becoming her loyal dog, and I had always assumed she meant a faithful subordinate. But perhaps back then she was revealing a little bit of herself and her interests, as we see the pair relaxing around what seem to be three of Makima’s pet dogs, excluding Denji and Pochita that is.
Playtime with the dogs comes to a close as Makima shifts into power thott mode, grasping Denji’s hand and she says.
[Makima 1]
Translating to, because you saved me, you remember my promise right?
Denij responding with E? Translated as EH.
Makima follows up with
[Makima 2]
Translates tooo:
Why done you try telling me a wish you would like granted?
And then Denji what the heck replies Yo I wanna be your dog though.
Literally, inu ni naritai, makima san no
I want to become a dog, makima’s dog.
Stoppppppppp. We’re in the darkest timeline. That’s not what you’re supposed to wish for Denjiiii. Oh well. And there oes my prediction for this week with Power being the next one to get shredded by chainsaw blade’s teeth.

Hold up. First the pandemic took away my social life, and now it’s coming for my manga? Corona virus has gone TOO FAR. Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba chapter 203 and for that matter the entirety of the next weekly shounen jump has been delayed, resulting in a double issue for the following release. For clarity, the delayed issue SHOULD have been on shelves on April 20th, will now be on the back burner, held under lock and key and available for weebs worldwide instead on the 27th. Pretty sucky.
Humanity feared the Demons, Muzan feared the sun, Tamayo’s poisons were moderately effective, but as of right now the Demon Slayer Universe is held tightly in the grips of the Corona Virus. Thoughts and prayers.
In all seriousness, stay at home if you can and save some lives, but in less seriousness, goddamn we have to wait an extra week for a chapter.
And it made me realise just how close to the end we could potentially be with a predicted final chapter of 205, IF they decide to finish the series so that it wraps up in a full tankobon volume, being number 23. The announcement said that due to the health and safety of the staff, work for the entire editorial department of Weekly Shonen Jump has been temporarily suspended while awaiting the results of the PCR test which the 40-year old staff has already taken. The suspension is in consideration of the writers, other staff members, and other related parties who might be involved with the creation of the weekly manga magazine. It was mentioned that the staff member doesn't come into contact with the manga creators of Jump on a regular basis.
They noted that since April 6, the staff of Shueisha (Jump's parent company) has been doing their best with working from home in an effort to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The Japanese government on April 7 declared a State of Emergency for seven prefectures in Japan, including Tokyo, where the Shueisha head office is located and where Weekly Shonen Jump is made.

Demon Slayer: Brother and Sisterhood as a Theme in [Kimetsu no Yaiba] 鬼滅の刃 PART TWO

Hey, hello and welcome back, anime fried chicken here. In part one we discussed family ties and their importance as a theme in Demon Slayer. Nothing gives weight to the loss of life for a central character more, than knowing that their kin is suffering through it, and beside that agony, stoking the flame of revenge within them to take down Muzan Kibutsuji.
We talked through the flagship bond of Tanjiro and Nezuko, the tragic sisterhood of kanae, kanao and shinobu. And of course the heavy hitters, Kokushibo and the original breath of the Sun user, yoriichi.
But the tragedy doesn’t stop there and the best is yet to come. Kicking off we’re exploring the brothers yuichiro and muichiro Tokitou, the pillar of mist, both descendents to the original breath of sun user. These orphaned brothers had a rough start to their life losing their parents at a cruelly young age. The ubuyashiki family offered to take the pair into the Demon Slayer core, however yuichiro had grown to become cold and callously rejected their offer, seemingly lacking the compassion to join their mission and prioritising his own self preservation. This facade came crumbling down when the pair were attacked by a demon, and yuichiros true intentions surfaced on his deathbed. He just wanted to protect his brother.
As a reader, watching Muichiro lose his brother was a particularly tough pill to swallow. Even though loss of life is just that, I feel like losing your twin would be akin to losing a part of yourself.
Now, taking a break from the side of good, we can see the author Koyoharu Goutoge had implemented a sense of familial bonds amongst the demon moons as well. Lower Demon Moon Rui’s character was the epitome of caring for his family and even after his transformatio, his sense of purpose in staying beside his family grew ever stronger, only twisted. The distress from losing his family spiraled and his warped view on family life saw him develop into a monster harbouring hostages.Rui meets his fate at the hand of Tomioka Giyuu and as Rui passes on he regains some semblance of reality and embraces the idea of finally resting with his loved ones.
Later in the red light district arc we are introduced to the demon moon sibling pair Daki and Gyutaro. These two had a fantastic dynamic that drew a darker parallel to Tanjiro and Nezuko’s relationship. Where Tanjiro swings his blade for the sake of Nezuko, it’s also backed by a sense of justice, namely taking down Muzan.
