The vehicle, which was fallen into the river Tista under the national highway 10 near Tista in Darjeeling in Thursday morning. The family was permanent resident of singhmari darjeeling but they were residing in Gantok bypass presently. Local police has identified the victims as Chandan Rai (41, husband), Tulsi Rai (wife), Sargam Rai (19, son), Sakshi Rai (14, daughter) and Dewdat Tamang (driver). Chandan Rai served in the Army's station headquarters. Through the administration it is learned that they were going to attend a special program of Christian denominations in Birpada Doars with their families. But only the body of the 14-year-old girl has been recovered. The remains of the deceased have not been found. So, at 6 am tomorrow, NDRF divers have been informed to search for the body.
