set on a rural estate, where the squire is found shot dead in the woods. It's both a mystery and an examination of personal relations among the dead man's immediate circle. At the centre is an estate agent, an impressive man played with authority by Jeffry Wickham. The truth of the matter is long delayed, emerging gradually from the interaction of sharply drawn characters, including those of the two investigating policemen. The play is subtle, arresting and satisfying - and finally we get the full account.

"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars. But in ourselves that we are underlings.' In a magic wood, on Midsummer's Eve, a second chance is offered to those who believe they have taken the wrong turning in life; some will take the same path, some will have a precious glimpse of what can now never be.
Written in 1917, JM Barrie's play was adapted by Jeffrey Segal.
Written over a decade after Peter Pan, JM Barrie's title is taken from a line in 'Julius Caesar' summing up Shakespeare's argument that we should take responsibility for our own actions: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars. But in ourselves that we are underlings.'
