Had a nice surf session and I want to tell a story about what happened today in the water and how it's a great analogy for business. The creator of this video may receive financial compensation for actions resulting from this video I was sitting in the water and there were only a few of us out there and we were catching every wave we wanted because there is nobody else there to take the waves from us. And then all of a sudden a whole group of groms came paddling out. There were probably around 15 of them. And they're just all around me taking off on waves. At first, my response was dammit they are going to take all the waves that I want to catch. And so I almost viewed them as competitors. And I kind of got aggressive at first because I wanted those waves. Then I sat back and thought about it. And wonder to myself do I really need to be that aggressive. There are plenty of waves for all of us. So why not just cheer them on when they get a good wave? Why not just let them take off in the good waves because then I can have the next one. And then we can all just cheer each other on and enjoy surfing the way the should be, all having fun. I think this is the same way to it should be with business also. A lot of us view each other as competitors when we should be viewing each other as just another person in the water. There is plenty of business out there for us all and we need to just start cheering each other on and celebrate each other's successes.
