There has been a lot of views and comments to this video. The objective is with the end consumer in mind. Not if all conditions are correct. It's for the average consumer with an average dent. For most dents I see, this method will not work. Sure, for the perfect dent it may work, but after 3 tries on normal door dings and dents I dtermined it does not work.
http://CollisionBlast.com/Books - This video is part 1 of auto repair estimates. Part 1 talks about what an estimate is and what it isn't. Auto estimates are an agreement between shop and customer, but not a guarantee of final invoice cost. There is always a possibility of hidden damage that may not be determined until tear down. However, all additional work must be agreed on before repairs are made. In this video we are going to apply primer surfacer. The repair has already been cleaned, masked and sprayed with epoxy primer. Now the filler primer or primer surfacer ia applied to fill any scratched left by the sanding. Once the primer surfacer is applied, you can block sand the surface, which should be ready for sealer, paint and clear. If not, it may be necessary to repeat this step. The goal is to sand all of the guide coat off without sanding through the primer surfacer ot epoxy coatings.
Step 1 - Mix the primer surfacer (most primer surfacers do NOT have an induction time. mix and spray)
Step 2 - Read the procedure pages for specific recommendations. For the primer we used, the epoxy requires a flash time of 30 minutes. This means that the primer should dry for at least 30 minutes. However, this epoxy has a 72 hour window. This means that you have up to 72 hours to spray on top of it without sanding. If more than 72 hours has passed, you must scuff the panel to provide mechanical adhesion.
Step 3 - Apply the primer to surface. Again, read your procedure pages. This primer state to apply to coats. Be sure to wait the recommended flash time between coats.
Now allow the primer to dry thoroughly, before block sanding. The primer we used said to wait at least 3 hours, but I always like to wait longer to ensure it had adequate time to dry.

http://CollisionBlast.com - - Please rate this video. All ratings and comments are appreciated. This is part two in answering a question asked of how to prepare a car that has good paint to add artwork. I am not aware of a way to paint the airbrush work without scuffing the panel and re-clearing the panel. This will assure proper adhesion to prevent peeling. Part one described how to clean and scuff the paint. Part two discusses how to mask, or free hand artwork.
1. Lay out the initial outline with 3M blue fine line masking tape.
2. Using 3M 3/4" and 1 1/2" masking tape, tape around the blue fine line tape.
3. Using masking paper, mask the rest of the area not being airbrushed.
Now you're ready to airbrush the flame. If you're free handing your artwork, you could skip this step.

http://CollisionBlast.com - - In this video of auto painting techniques, I was asked how to get a car ready for art work. I assume that the person is an artist and already knows how to use an airbrush. She was just not sure how to prep the paint that is already on the car. That is an excellent question, as just air brushing straight over the clearcoat would peel off shortly after applied to the panel.
Here are the steps to part one. Preparing the paint before starting the airbrush work.
Wash surface with dish soap and water -
Wipe the surface with wax and grease remover -
Wet sand the painted surface with 1000 grit sandpaper
Scuff the panel concentrating on the hard-to-get areas and edges. Gray
Allow To Air Dry And Move Panel To Painting Area To Begin Air Brush or Art Work.
We will pick up from here on Part 2, which is coming soon.
