They would not have responded well to a Cosmology which did not include their own personal religious god of the judeo-xtian faith. The Russell's made it very clear however, that they were not speaking of the god of the bible and religion, they used the term "He" for God, because it was proper English, like the term "Mankind" or "Man" which represents both men and women.
