MAGA Counties Still Getting Crushed By Covid-19
Counties that voted over 60% for Trump are getting WRECKED by COVID-19. The pandemic is not over. Vaccines are greatly reducing the number of deaths and hospitalizations, but many are still refusing to get vaccinated. And that is especially true among Trump supporters.

Sam: I have a family who believes, this is Margot from Mass. Believe they've had medical reactions to the vaccine. They're not crazy right-wingers or conspiracy people but had illnesses that I think we're basically pre-existing but increased or triggered by a very normal vaccine-related fever. The media on Fox and online that spills into why no one is talking about the negative aspects of vaccines are causing my otherwise normal fairly liberal family members to go full conspiracy. say they're not getting boosters doubting their doctors etc. Spilling out into the regular right-wing populations I mean look these are issues with any medications. And the difference is that within the context of a public policy situation a public health policy you're always going to have people like your family. The difference is that we now have a massive industry although you know this industry has existed in the past. But it's expanded industry

Sam: Yep and that's the problem. That's the problem. still, though you know eighty percent first shot in this country. And when the kids get it you know it's you can see the data. and now we're starting to see the data that shows as you know in counties where Donald Trump won over 60 percent versus counties where Joe Biden won over 60. I mean if you look at the graph it was a graph today in that the David lie and Leonhardt's the article. see if you can pull that up there are three lines counties where trump won over 60 percent. Counties where Biden won over 60. Counties were neither one of them achieved 60. Here it is and I mean it's pretty straightforward. Elenis, a case regarding whether a web designer can refuse service to gay couples looking for her to design their websites asked Kristin Waggoner, 303 Creative's Attorney, a hypothetical: If there was a mall Santa Clause who wanted to sell "classic" Christmas photos that resemble an earlier time period, and wanted to do so only with white children, and all non-white children could receive photos with another Santa on the other side of the mall, would Waggoner believe that that is permissible and non-discriminatory as well given 303's Position on refusing service to gay couples? Later On In Oral Arguments, Justice Samuel Alito returns to Justice Jackson's hypothetical and asks Colorado Solicitor General Eric Olson whether the santa Clause who was accommodating the non-white children, and is black, would be required to take photos with a child even if that child was wearing a Ku Klux Klan outfit.

"I would say that Zack has it slightly wrong here. There is not one core reason for passing the baton. There are three reasons: a political reason, a policy-implementation reason, and a we've-learned-about-the-world reason:

It’s not often that someone in this policy debate — or, frankly, any policy debate — suggests that their side should lose. So I reached out to DeLong to dig into the reasons for his position: Why does he believe that neoliberals’ time in the sun has come to an end?...
...The core reason, DeLong argues, is political. The policies he supports depend on a responsible center-right partner to succeed. They’re premised on the understanding that at least a faction of the Republican Party would be willing to support market-friendly ideas like Obamacare or a cap-and-trade system for climate change. Meanwhile, Donald Trump holds a rally in Iowa, and takes aim at Ron DeSantis, criticizing him for his opposition to ethanol subsidies, as well as his support for Cutting Social Security. He compares him to Mitt Romney.
Trump says that as President he will "...immediately sign a new executive order to cut federal funding for any school that's pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity, and any inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children."
Back on Fox News, Kilmeade says since Trump visited East Palestine and stopped dining with white supremacists that he's seemed like a much more serious candidate. Fox & Friends crew then speculate on how Trump may do in hypothetical Iowa and New Hampshire primary.
