Join me briefly in the classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as Carl goes on a date, in a helicopter.
This was very much a "let's see what happens" type thing. I was just casually playing the game and listening to local police scanner audio in the background, and wondered what would happen if CJ picked up his girlfriend in a heli instead of a car.
I already had a Seasparrow stored in the hangar at Verdant Meadows, so I fired it up and flew over to Barbara's sheriff station. As luck would have it, the game chose the "driving" date.
I wasn't sure what to expect, to be honest, but it was actually easier than driving a car in loops around the town. There weren't any voice lines or text lines unique to using a helicopter, just the standard voice snippets.
Join me in the classic GTA San Andreas as we play the Vigilante sub-mission in a Rhino tank. Despite the tank being much slower than a car or motorcycle, it sure was a lot easier.
Join me briefly in GTA IV (actually TBOGT but essentially the same thing for our purposes) as we join a random pursuit.
This was supposed to be part of a full LCPDFR patrol, but that didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. You can hear in my voice that I was mentally tired after working all day, and I was definitely not at the top of my game. This clip wasn't too bad because it was pretty much right at the beginning, but the rest of it didn't meet my personal standards of quality.
Note: I've recently become aware that some of my videos aren't playing correctly or at all. I believe it's caused by an issue with the video editing software I use. If this video doesn't play, or has audio but no video, please let me know in the comments so I can fix it. Thanks in advance.
Through a combination of mods and tuning, I built a Bruckell LeGran police car with a supercharged 4.3L diesel V6.
The engine is a mod called LeGran 4.3 Diesel by STEVIE_G4M1NG, available at https://www.beamng.com/resources/legran-4-3-diesel.20341/. It's based on the real-life 4.3L diesel V6 found in mid-80s GM A-body cars. Not to be confused with the infamous 5.7L diesel V8, the V6 was a better design with fewer reliability issues. I've never owned one, but I've heard cars with that engine could return up to 40 MPG.
Some real-life police departments did buy A-body cars for parking enforcement officers, process servers, and other special officers that didn't need the size or performance of a larger car. There's no record of any police department ever using a diesel A-body, but I theorize it would have been a good choice for the aforementioned uses. There was also never a forced-induction (turbocharger or supercharger) option on the real-life engines, but fortunately, a supercharger is an option in the BeamNG parts menu.
It's still not quite fast enough to be a pursuit car, but an officer driving one could have theoretically kept up with an offender until officers in faster cars could catch up and take over.
My less-than-stellar driving is largely due to my controller's worn-out steering stick. I had to set a relatively large deadzone to keep the steering straight. If you've ever played with a worn-out controller, you know. I know they're not very expensive, but I cannot afford a new one at this time.
I recently saw a photo online of a truck tandem-towing several trailers. One of the commenters said something about sudden lane changes, and referenced the phenomenon in GTA 5 and GTA San Andreas of connecting multiple tow trucks together. You can see that in a previous video, titled "GTA V Tow Truck Shenanigans" and available at (https://odysee.com/@YardDart63:8/VTowTrucks:d).
My scientific mind wanted to know if that would really happen, so I installed a tandem trailer mod for BeamNG and started testing. I present to you the preliminary results of my brief testing. Suffice to say, anyone tandem-towing trailers would probably want to be gentle with the steering. My worn-out controller didn't help matters though.
The mod that made this possible is essej818's Semi Uplift Trailers mod, which you can download at (https://www.beamng.com/resources/semi-uplift-trailers.21542/). Let me know in the comments if you want to see more tandem-trailer destruction.
Another one from back in the day. We couldn't stop the train in GTA San Andreas with a Rhino tank, but can we stop the San Fierro streetcar?
This was recorded from the PS2 version onto a DVD.
A quick 0-60 acceleration run in my 1967 Ford Custom 4-door sedan with a 289 V8. At the time this was filmed, the car was bone-stock with a small two-barrel carburetor, relatively low shift points, and restrictive 2 inch single exhaust pipe. I would describe the acceleration as "smooth and leisurely." But it got 20 MPG, which is pretty good for a 1960s full-size car with a V8 under the hood and the aerodynamics of a brick.
Since then I've installed a 4-barrel carburetor and had a nice dual exhaust system built. It's a little sportier now.
It's a Custom, but I'm just going to call it a base-model Galaxie. It was common practice back then to assign different model names for trim levels of the same car. The Custom was the base model, then the Custom 500 which was a little nicer, then the Galaxie 500, then the Galaxie, and then the top-trim LTD (pronounced "El-Tee-Dee"). They were all basically the same car, just different trim levels and model names.
Sounds like clickbait but it's not. Join me in BeamNG Drive as we crash two Hirochi eSBR electric supercars together at 200 MPH each, for a combined 400 MPH impact speed.
Here's one from the early days of my Dailymotion channel, before I had a copy of GTA 5. I had been seeing lots of videos of people trying to stop the train in 5 with very creative and entertaining methods, and I wondered if it was possible to stop the train in the classic GTA San Andreas.
So I found an old DVD recorder that still worked, fired up my old PS2, and started trying various things including the Rhino tank. Spoiler alert, I wasn't able to stop the train in GTA San Andreas with a Rhino, but I did get an $83 stunt bonus in one of the tests. Too bad it couldn't have been converted to real-life money.
Join me briefly in GTA 5 as we pursue a taxi from Sandy Shores to Vinewood. This was recorded with the in-game clip capture and edited with the Rockstar Editor.
This was from a few years ago and unfortunately I don't remember which vehicle pack I was using. I think it might've been a LSPD pack that I reskinned to Blaine County.
