The fear of being lied to is understandable as the political class will always prioritize itself. While Poilievre crushes Trudeau in the polls and is all set to be the next Prime Minister of Canada. Politicians are famed for saying anything to get elected, and doing none of it. It's become a pattern. Promises made to get the job - like lying in an interview and then being the worst employee possible and making life a misery for everyone else who works there. A lot of people have placed a lot of hope in Poilievre. He's even getting my vote. But we are in a place in Canada where so much hope has been placed there, it makes me genuinely fear the response if they are disappointed. And this stresses the importance of supporting positions - policies -outcomes, and not so much the mouth they come out of. we can all say anything, and i will stand and support what you say what you want to do but do not mistake that for unconditional support for you. If the outcomes are counter to the promises, people will not stick around for long. And around we go - moving from person to person and waiting for the one that won't disappoint. Hell of a system.
