Hello everyone, I've been working away on MapWork since Christmas and wanted to share the progress that's been made.
The video explains the process i'm taking to bring the MapWork app up to modern web development standards, with the view to adding new and exciting features to the Editor.
Stay tuned for more!

This is the final stretch of university for me, I'm currently working on the written portion of the project, day in and out, but I thought it was important to release an update video with a tutorial so people could start using MapWork straight away!
Iteration 1 is strictly the beginning, proving that you can implement a decent map editing tool on the client-side.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I encourage you to leave feedback about the tool in the comments, I may decide to include them as part of my dissertation (I will anonymise them if I decide to), so any contributions are appreciated. You never know, your feedback may shape the direction of future iterations of MapWork!

I need YOU!
Calling all my subscribers and viewers who make video games, be it as a hobby, indie or as a job, I need to know your thoughts on map editing tools.
Why do you ask?
For my final year project at university I am building a 2D map editor (with some new and original functionality I think you'll like), but I really need to know what you do like in a map editor, your experiences with previous map editors and what you'd like to see in this new tool!
This video is the start of a whole new series of video blogs where I will document my final year project, discussing designs, demonstrating functionality and opening up my product for testing and evaluation by the viewers.
I would be very grateful for your input, please fill in the questionnaire posted at the link above.

Not dead. Incredibly camera shy after long hiatus. Will try and make more videos about programming soon.

This is a joke, don't take it too seriously.
I in no way condone the destruction of books, with that being said, there are better ways to learn web development than reading this mammoth of a book on JS from 2002!
