How weird do you like your scenarios / campaigns? What kind of strangeness do you want to experience? If every Game Master was able to set aside one night a month for teaching noobs how to roleplay, then paper and pencil, tabletop roleplaying games could make a comeback. I miss the early-to-mid 80's heyday of D&D, where all you had to do was bring your Dungeon Master's Guide to school or invite friends over to fight Orcs in a dungeon. Personally, I think it's easier to teach people early basic D&D or AD&D, than 3rd + edition. What about your favorite old school scifi or horror RPG?
