RABBI KAHANE speaks: YOUNG ISRAEL of FAR ROCKAWAY~ PART 1
Meir Kahane (zt"l) speaks at Young Israel of Far Rockaway, in Queens, NY. He discusses the Jewish ideas and laws concerning revenge and how Jews living in the Galut (exile) seem to have forgotten how discerning these ideas have always been and will always be. As was customary, his knowledge, wisdom, common sense and scholarship rip through the average Jews preconcieved ideas about good, evil, right and wrong.
Rabbi Kahane HY'd, spoke at one of his many fund raisers in America in 1987. The next Israeli election (in the following year) predicted a minimum of 12 seats for his Kach Party. His speech here covers most of his platforms; all of which are still relevent today in Israel as they were 25 years ago.
Meir Kahane was indeed, the greatest Jewish leader of the last century!
Sandi Freeman-Geller is an American journalist and cable television pioneer. She hosted Freeman Reports on CNN for five years. She interviews and takes questions for the late Rabbi Meir Kahane (zt"l) in this CNN broadcast from March, 1983.
Rabbi Kahane was without doubt, one of, if not the most influential and extraordinary Jewish leaders, statesman and torah scholars of the last century.
And so the Jews in Israel live on, bury their heads in the sand and of course, HOPE these problems will go away! The truth hurts doesn't it? (the taxes paid to defend the country sure hurt!) And every word out of this Tzadik's mouth is truth. Sure, if you do not live there, you will be criticized by leftists for giving opinions. What, we can't criticize?
(If I am not mistaken, Rabbi Kahane used to teach at a synagogue in Howard Beach which is not to far from The Young Israel of Far Rockaway)
Rabbi Meir Kahane talks to CNN's Sonya Friedman about zionism, Israel and the Arab problem in this late 1986 interview when his Kach Party had 3 seats in the Israeli Knesset. He answwers some of the "usual" questions by phone on Jewish land, the Arabs (so called racism) and zionism which unfortunately, were all to familiar at the time and have not changed till this day!
