You can choose between several ships to play, including the Vic Viper. Solar Assault uses the same power-up system as Gradius, and you can choose to upgrade your weapon automatically (instead manually, as in the Gradius games).
Fast Racing League is a racing game developed and published by German company Shin'em Multimedia. It was only released in Europe and North America.
In the year 2112, extreme high-speed races have become very popular. The latest antigravity racing technology introduced phase-shifting.
Fast Racing League is futuristic racing game similar to WipeOut. You choose an ati-grv vehicle and compete against seven opponents in a race. You start off in the easiest league and need to reach a high enough place to unlock the higher leagues.
During a race, you pick up black-and-white balls to fill a gauge. If you the gauge is filled enough, you can activate a temporary speed boost. The main use of the gauge, however, is switch the main colour of your ship between white and black. Similar to Ikaruga, certain things will have a different effect, depending on the colour of your ship. If you drive over a stripe of the colour of your ship, you get a speed boost, while running over a stip of the other colour will slow you down drastically. If the stripe is on the ceiling, your ship will stick to the ceiling if it has the same colour. There are also black and white jump pads which lift your ship into the air. The latter two mechanics are often used to avoid obstacles on the course, but some courses also have section where you must use these mechanics to get pass. Since you cannot change the colour if the gauge is empty, you need to be careful when and how to use it.
