This is a hunt I never posted from mid-June. I didn't find a lot. It's a very overgrown field that used to be a home site in the early to mid 1800s. As you can see it's hard to hunt. But this is the field I later ended up finding my 1st two civil war uniform buttons in. I haven't had my F75 there yet so I can't wait to get it there.
I decided to check out a new spot this day. 1938 aerial showed it as a clear, high traffic area here in the city. I wasn't finding as many coins as I anticipated so I decided to move to a different spot close by that used to be a sports field. I was not expecting to find anything this old. I ended up finding my 2nd flying eagle cent, and three fattie Indian cents, and a regular Indian. I have now found a 1857 and a 1858 FE cent. And these are my first fat Indian cents. They are either all 1863, or two, and one 1864. Two of them are pretty rough shape. I will be hitting this spot again in my next video! I want my 1st largie dammit! EDIT: All three fattie Indians are 1863. Just checked better under better magnification.

Also check out Mark - The Burgh Hunter for his gold ring find. https://youtu.be/NeZj-j2svPU
And I just realized Mark dug his gold ring right after doing Mike's challenge too. . That's strange.

In this detecting adventure I do a little preliminary scouting at what used to be a pretty high traffic train station in the 1800s. I should have studied my aerial photographs a little better before I went... Not much treasure was found this day, but I will definitely be going back for a round 2!

This metal detecting adventure was on Christmas day. I went back to the same area I keep pounding hoping to find some older silver. I was actually hoping to find my first Standing Liberty Quarter before the new year, but got something even better!

In this metal detecting adventure I go back to the little park I probed in the adventure #14 video. Did I find a key date coin? You be the judge.

There's so much broken glass and stoneware there, there just has to be some good ones buried there. This is the same homesite from my last couple videos.

After a month of no metal detecting I managed to get out with Mark-TBH for a few hours. I decided I was going after gold, so I concentrated on digging lower tones. And it paid off!

This field was a homestead in the mid-1800s. Nothing but the well remains, and the relics just waiting to be unearthed.
In past hunts it has relinquished coins, buckles, civil war uniform buttons, flat buttons, Brooklyn bridge grand opening medallion, and other nice relics.
