The Utah State Board of Education has a draft document called Gender Identity Guidance for Utah Public Education up for public comment until this Monday, but personally, I think even these suggestions are out of line, and are taking activist positions in the name of benefiting all students. The road to hell is paved in good intentions, and I’m not in favor of these paving stones outlined in this document. Projecting racism everywhere is what Systemic Racism and Critical Race Theory (CRT) does best. Racism is always a tragedy, but not all tragedies are racist. Unfortunately Systemic Racism seems to assume that every tragedy or discrepancy is due to racism, and that includes the video of George Floyd and any sort of different outcomes for different races. This bugs me, so I decided to make this video specifically pointing out that there is no evidence that Floyd's death occurred was because of his race. And assigning racism to a tragedy because of the color of people’s skin is racist and wrong.
