Good morning, I’m still reporting on Fed Rate Rise Not Good for Trump Good evening, I’m still reporting on the economy. The Federal Reserve today raised its federal funds rate by a quarter point up to .75%. The federal funds rate is the Fed’s most important control mechanism governing the quantity of money in the country. [insert] Raising this rate inevitably lowers the quantity of money in the nation and ultimately puts a drag on the economy. Why? Because when the base interest rate goes up, without question your costs on your variable-rate mortgage, and all your other debts – like credit cards - goes up. You have less money to spend. Now it would be nice to believe that the Fed made this move today without any political considerations – not true. The full effects of interest rate changes take around 24 months to show up in the system. So, mark the date – Dec. 2018 there will be a negative drag on the economy. But that’s not all. The expectations are that the Fed will raise rates 3 more times throughout 2017. So then, the full effects of these interest rate rises will not fully materialize until Dec. 2019. And what will be going on then? Well, the next presidential primaries will begin just 2 months later leading up to the 2020 election where President Trump will be seeking re-election. Not political, you say. Well when was the last time the Federal Funds rate was lowered? A year ago. But the time before that was 8 years ago – December 17, 2008 – a month after the election of President Obama. Yes, the Fed lowered this key interest rate to the lowest rate in history and left it there for the first 7 years of the Obama presidency? So, just as President Trump comes in, it will be harder and harder for him to borrow the amounts of money he needs to implement his massive infrastructure rebuild project. In addition, the interest payable on the existing $19 trillion of debt the government has piled up over the years, will go up as well, forcing the President to borrow even more money at ever higher rates. Of course, none of this death spiral of debt is necessary. I think Mr. Trump got an inkling of the real solution early on, but now he has 3 people in his cabinet who come from the primary beneficiary of this debt money system – the largest investment bank – Goldman-Sachs. Not only that, but the president and Chief Operating Officer of Goldman – Gary Cohn – will now serve as the National Economic Council Director. So now there will be no monetary reform in the Trump presidency – at least at first. This is going to be a straight-out battle between the pillars of American debt-money capitalism versus the pillars of world socialism combined with the pillars of Islam. I just want Mr. Trump to remember as the debt spirals ever higher, retarding his efforts to return capital and manufacturing to American shores, there is another way. You don’t have to borrow money to have money. We can completely pay off over 50% of the debt in 3 years – not by declaring national bankruptcy – but by simply paying off the debt as it comes due with U.S. Notes, instead of Federal Reserve notes. A promising new treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease may revolutionize the way doctors deal with the most expensive disease in America. Alzheimer’s disease – the most common form of dementia - afflicts 50 million worldwide. Though few people realize it, dementia is now more expensive than heart disease and cancer combined. It afflicts one in 8 Americans over the age of 60 today, and with the aging of the Baby Boomer generation, costs to Medicare are expected to quadruple by 2050. The new treatment is called “focused therapeutic ultrasound. If the new research holds up in human trials, it may provide a relatively inexpensive, painless and drug-free alternative that not just halts the spread of the disease, but actually restores memory loss. The treatment beams high-frequency sound waves into brain tissue and jiggles open clogged pathways that block vital nutrients from reaching memory tissue. According to researchers at Australia’s Queensland Brain Institute, the new ultrasound treatment has fully restored memory function to 75% of mice it has been tested on, with zero damage to the surrounding brain tissue. According to Prof. Jürgen Götz, a co-author of the study: "We’re extremely excited by this innovation of treating Alzheimer’s without using drug therapeutics. The word ‘breakthrough’ is often misused, but in this case I think this really does fundamentally change our understanding of how to treat this disease, and I foresee a great future for this approach." On FOXNews Fiorina chastised Hillary Clinton for wiping her secret server clean two years after leaving the State Department. However, according to former HP employee Charles Nielsen, prior to ousting Walter Hewlett and the HP board of directors, Fiorina directly ordered Nielsen to destroy all five hard drives which resided in her secret email server to cover up her takeover plans which netted her millions of dollars and ended up gutting HP. According to a story in today’s CapitolHillOutsider.com, by Kelleigh Nelson, who personally interviewed Mr. Nielsen: “My name is Charles Nielsen, and I was an employee with HP from 1/2000 until 8/2001. I worked in the Boise, Idaho Data Center.
