Ebay Project Savage X 4.6 Part 6 First Fire Up With Pullstart and New Filter
I have replaced the rotostart backplate with a pullstart as it makes it simpler to start. I was originally going to get a 10mmX 250mm Flathead screw driver and modify it to use the drill to start it, but i have read a few threads on forums where people have tried to use a drill and they have not been able to spin as fast as a rotostart.
I have also got a new pack of filters so the truck can breathe nice clean air. The inner foam was pre oiled. The pack came with 2 sets of filters as well.
It was a bit of a pain to start it for the first time. probably due to me not fully priming it. In the end i just put a few drops of of fuel directly into the carb. Once it had fired up on those drops straight away, it cut out a couple of times, but then started to idle ok. It still needs a bit of work as it was cutting out a couple of times, but i'm glad to see its up and running now.
I am still trying to get a lid for the radio box, i already have the switch now. Once it has a lid i will be able to take it to the park and give it a proper tune up!

The previous was pretty bad, so thought i'd make a better one this time round.
I've been messing about with this cpu a bit and it doesnt seem to overclock too well even when i've tried for a quite a while to dial it in with the memory timings etc. Its just not good silicon.
Still, for the price i think its a good deal. 10700K and 5600X are clearly not as good for this CPU. I think its makes the most sense if you are coming from an i5 10600K or already have a Z490 board to pair it with.
