This is the second of two videos I'm sharing by Editors which have remained unseen for the best part of 15 years. With the addition of these two new clips, there are 3 songs from this set available now at the Archive, details of the others are below.
This was the Fingers in the Factories, as performed at the Blender Bar on the 17th March 2006. They band were there to play the South by South West music festival, and if you'd never seen Editors before then this is as good an introduction as you'd ever get. Energy, passion and the occasional bit of onstage recklessness all combined to create 4 minutes and 15 seconds of real magic.
It's difficult to tell if Tom is genuinely annoyed by some technical problems here, or if he's just wound himself up so much that adrenalie has finally broken the restraints which held him, leaving him free to violently spin around the stage (and casually smack Chris in the back with his guitar as he goes). As an Editors fan, this is the stuff that goosebumps are made from.
