Many people who act from ego aren’t fully aware of it, or they might be only to some extent and don’t see the full scope. 8 signs that ego controls you - Ego always wants more and it is great at justifying why you need more. - Ego always protects itself. - Judging others, how you think they should be like according to your perception (which is biased). - You also see others based on their status, categorizing them and not looking at them equally as human beings. - Ego wants to be in control so you try to control others, or make them fear you. - Ego needs recognition, so you want to get attention, prove to someone that you are worthy, better, maybe through money, maybe having something that others could be jealous of. - Ego loves to punish someone, so someone is hurting you or maybe for some reason they lost your trust and now you hate them, you want to punish them, you cut them out from your life. - It is important to recognize why you do something, are you acting from ego? "As above, so below" appears on Emerald Tablet which is a hermetic text often attributed to Hermes Trismegistus. Hermetic teachings are linked to alchemy, astrology, and date back to ancient Egypt and Greece. We also often hear about 7 hermetic principles, that are pillars of hermetic philosophy. The 2nd hermetic principle according to the book The Kybalion. Is the principle of correspondence and it is linked to this phrase. "As above, so below; as below, so above.” This principle embodies the truth that there is always a correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of existence.
