Today we will do your English Listening Comprehension practice lesson 6. In this free course, you will hear the story 2 times, then you will see 3 questions. After you have seen the 3 questions, I will show you the story for a moment and proceed to explain where the answers to each of the 3 listening comprehension questions are in the story.
A helpful hint for any listening comprehension task. When a speaker changes subjects or ideas about the same topic, the speaker will pause. Listen to these points. When you hear a break in the normal flow of speaking you should listen up. This is when new information will present itself.
Listening Comprehension is all about passively listening to the natural flow of sound. Once you hear a change in the flow, you switch to active listening. This will greatly improve your listening comprehension skills as you become used to it.

Timing in English speaking is essential to speaking fluently. Today, I am going to show you what I just taught one of my private clients (C2 English level) about rhythm and matching a cadence when we speak. I will show you how to break a sentence into speaking parts so that you can say them fluently. We will see how to remove letters to blend words together. We will also learn an equally important skill in stretching out the timing of words to match the speaking pattern.
I want you to think of timing in English like waves at the beach. Each thing you say follows the same pattern and cadence of the waves. Once you create a timing, you need to make the words in the sentences match the timing. Only then can you deliver a fluent idea. It is also very important that you think of the thing you are communicating as not just a single sentence but a single idea. Multiple sentences on the same idea must match the same timing that you started with. This rhythm for speaking will improve your fluency.

Why you still can't speak English after studying for years and hiring a tutor for practice. I will explain the real reason why all of those English books you have been buying didn't teach you English. I will explain the real way to learn to speak English correctly.
Actually, to save you time, here is the correct way to learn English.
Step 1: Complete a phonics course in the accent you wish to learn. Either American English or British English.
Here is American English Phonics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz4RcpAfHyU&list=PLp5zSGEKWyU6FrxaRZkxieeP7dk4Hu6H6
Step 2: Learn basic sentence patterns while speaking broken English to build your confidence.
Here are some simple English Patterns: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifuem4fo1x0&list=PLp5zSGEKWyU4Xmzj3obJHMAFkiLpf7rE5&index=21
Step 3: Learn with a native speaker to fix you grammar mistakes ONLY AFTER you have developed the confidence to speak broken English.
Stop wasting your money on English Academies, low level grammar based books and unethical teachers.
Nearly everything you need to achieve conversational level English is available here on Youtube or my website for free www.listenandlearnenglish.com
