This week my guest is Tom Lazuka, owner of Asylum Cigars. He has carved out his own niche in the cigar world with his interesting and complex blends. He and I will be chatting about Asylum and answering your cigar questions and comments. So grab a good cigar, something great to pair it with, and drop a comment to join the conversation.
Tonight’s Lineup: Tonight, you've got a choice to make. Will you choose the lineup that holds dark liquid to rejuvenate your soul, or will you choose the lineup that rests your weary leaves?
Look around any walk-in humidor and you'll see A LOT of different blends on the shelf! It's crazy to think that there are that many different types of leaf out there, but there are. And it's even crazier to think that for each blend on the shelf, there are many that never saw the light of day. Cigar makers will often take cigars through many iterations before settling on 'the' blend for a project. In this episode, we'll be lighting up some of American Viking's unreleased blends to take you through what it takes for a test blend to become a regular production cigar.
My name is Tim, I'm the host of this show, and YOU are the cohost. Your comments and questions will drive this episode. So light up something epic, grab a drink to pair, and drop your cigar comments and questions.

My name is Tim and I'm the host of this show, but YOU are the co-host. Your comments and questions will drive the episode. So light up something chocolatey, grab a drink to pair (maybe chocolate milk), and drop your cigar comments and questions.

A cigar lounge is a sacred place for a cigar smoker... especially if it's too cold or too hot to smoke outside. Over the last few winters, I have watched people in the Cigars Daily Nation build their own winter cigar lounges in some of the most ingenious ways. The trend all started when people begin using #cigartent. Now temporary backyard lounges seem to be a pretty regular thing. Today I want to see if I can do something similar... but I want to do it on the cheaps. In this video, I will build a temporary cigar lounge for under $200. And I'll show you exactly what I used and how I got it done.

Matt Booth is easily the most unhinged guy in the cigar industry. He's the unpredictable variable in any situation. And if you hang out with him, it's going to be weird. But that hasn't slowed him down in creating one of the cigar world's favorite brands - Room101 Cigars. For nearly 15 years, Matt has been crafting complex blends that have drawn the attention of cigar lovers from every corner of the global cigar community. Now it's time to see what makes Room101 Cigars tick. What is the special sauce behind Matt Booth's popular blending? In this video, I'll verbally attack Room101 to get some answers to these questions. Watch to see how well Matt defends his precious name.

CIGARS DAILY LIVE FAQ
Q. What's a good cigar for a beginner?
A. When you're first getting into cigars, it's so important to try new things. So in one sense, new cigar smokers should smoke a little of everything. If, however, you're looking for your FIRST cigar you might think about something light bodied. Some examples would be United Cigars' La Gianna Havana, Rocky Patel's Vintage 1999, Camacho Connecticut, Oliva Connecticut Reserve, or the Liga Zebra. And yes, you can get all of these on Cigarsdaily.com at a healthy discount.
Q. Tim, what was the first cigar you ever smoked?
A. When I was 17, I was working at a video game store, and a cop gave me a Backwoods cigar (true story). But on my 18th birthday I smoked my REAL first cigar, it was an Ashton Churchill. It was 7 inches long and it made me sick to my stomach... If you're just getting into cigars, start with something a little shorter!
Q. Do you carry ________ brand of cigars?
A. Of course, if I was able to, I'd carry everything. I'm currently growing the inventory on CigarsDaily.com. And I could really use your help to do it. If you want to see a specific brand carried on the website, just email me about it at hello@cigarsdaily.com. I actually use suggestions from everyone to decide what we'll carry. Just this week we added cigars from
Cornelius & Anthony, JRE, and Rico Barato based on your recommendations.

After months of anticipation, the Filthy Viking has officially arrived. Here's my best shot at an objective review. But check the comments to see what others are saying about it, because they'll be quite blunt!

Erik Espinosa has a knack for blending highly punchy Nicaraguan cigars. In fact, the 601 La Bomba gets its name from the fact that it's supposed to be an absolute flavor bomb. It's got a pretty good start in the blend, which is entirely Nicaraguan. Supposedly, this size, the Sake Bomb, was blended to have an extra kick of that classic Espinosa pepper and spice. My question is - can this little cigar pack as much of a punch as it's supposed to? The only way to find out is with a cut and a light.
