My Toyota Prius 12v 'flat battery' starting system. On my car, the early MK1 Prius I can get in to the boot with a key, but on this one you can't, as it happened, the owner has used it twice, and in both cases, there was enough grunt in the 12v to unlock the boot, she could always clamber over the back seat. If I do another one, I'll put the switch on a remote lead in to the inside of the car - perhaps around the back seat somewhere...

Electromagic energies carry us aloft the kingdom of nature and through the valley in time, past to the storytellers mystical lair - alas the wizard was a yonder, so whilst awaiting his return, the magic flying eye was summoned aloft for a heaven's eye view around the dwelling I help build, the summer after I'd finished a ten year stint at the mighty cathedral of electricity - the now demolished Didcot power station.
Footage edited with Youtube's video editor - enjoy :)

Using a 12v charger, or power pack, or even a Ryobi or similar drill battery to jump start a Prius.
For some strange reason I was swaying the camera about whilst talking - sorry about that! :D
Proceed entirely at your own risk! :)

Dog 'horsebox' to bike three pivot joint... Alas the dog owner is camera shy so I had to ride the bike to get the camera footage - this did not go down well with the dog! Although used to the trailer, doggy really doesn't like anyone other than its owner moving him around, he made the exact same fuss whenever I took him in the car. Original trailer design relied on a bar that fixed to a coupling that was a permanent fit to the bike, we decided to use the much more stable and quick releasable frame that was designed for a single wheel tilting trailer on a non tilting twin wheel trailer - this led to the interesting design shown here. A 'torsion bar' wire spring could be installed under the trailer to apply a torque to the trailer to stop it tipping outwards at very high cornering speeds, end stops on the tilting vertical bar would have a similar effect. Storing the spare trailer wheels on the top of the vertical post did result in some oscillations but nothing major. The dog is getting on a bit so this doggy 'horsebox' complete with drop down back is a way of getting him about when he's not in the mood for walkies. The device is effectively three hinges in a line, one where it sits on the bike rear wheel, one where the frame meets the upright post, and one where the upright post pivots in the trailer. The owner fitted the spare wheels to the tilting post which did affect the handling slightly. I believe the pivot frame is off a BOB Ibex trailer.

Hi Megachum, I've put this clip on here so you can get an idea of the dramatic start to our movie. This is shot using a cheap camera from a limited angle shot, better technology would give a much better effect. Mine is a very 'butch' industry - ideal as an intro in to a movie about a subject that many regard as something that only wimps suffer from - depression :-)

Another one of my 'Ten Minutes of Happiness' long run engine videos - this one featuring a model of a V8 engine built from Knex (with a slightly wonky camshaft gear - the camshaft is two red rods connected together and the connector came a bit loose - since fixed.
