Matthew and A explored the southern part of the Vermilion Woods in the Cent-Omnia Region, the DLC's setting. They have been seeking City survivors unsuccessfully. Eventually, they reached the site of a battle between a Keves colony and an Agnus colony and prevented the survivors, Nikol and Glimmer from killing each other. They also defeated Moebius R and Moebius Q and destroyed the colony's flame clocks. At night, however, Glimmer ran off. Chapter 2 having just started, the party must now go after Glimmer. 0:00 - Game Load 0:35 - Vermilion Woods Battlefield The party resumes at the Battlefield Camp in the Vermilion Woods. The explore the area around the battlefield and defeat monsters for the Enemypaedia. A learns a new art through Affinity Growth. Matthew pairs Revolt Uppercut and Raging Force. The resulting Fusion Art has the Launch effect. An Ether Channel is in the southeast. The Colony 5 Wreckage is in the east of the battlefield. A Container is under the west end of the Ferronis wreckage. Nikol equips the contained Shell Protector. A cave entrance is in the northwest, but the Level 23 Prohibitor Giuseppe is nothing to sneeze at right now. The Colony Gamma Wreckage is in the west of the battlefield. Another Ether Channel is in the southwest. South of the Colony Gamma Wreckage, the party views an Affinity Scene. In the Colony Gamma Wreckage, the party finds another Container under the wrecked Ferronis. Matthew equips the contained Garnet. On the northwestern hill, the party takes out 10 Land Volffs in an Incursion. They also take out the Advent Wolf Marduk, a Level 9 unique Volff. It drops a few accessories. Matt equips the Vibrant Armring. The party registers items on the Collectopaedia. They also do a little more Affinity Growth. Near the cave to the north, they find the Atattra's Rampart landmark. Then, they enter the cave to the north. 28:33 - Atattra Access Elevator Just inside the Aurora Shelf area, the party finds the Atattra Access Elevator. They approach the Nopon caravan for a scene. So, Nikol is a machine whiz? Interesting... Jilljill issues the scenario quest "Elevator Repairs". The party must take a Ferronis Circuit Board from one of the Ferronises outside. There is a tutorial about Community quests. 35:08 - Vermilion Woods Battlefield The party returns to Vermilion Woods. At the Colony Gamma Wreckage, the examine the Broken-down Ferronis. They find a Ferronis Circuit Board. Now, they must find 6 Warning Lamps. In the search area east of the Colony 5 Wreckage, the party gathers the Warning Lamps. The party must now return to the Atattra Access Elevator. They skip travel back to the Atattra's Rampart landmark. 39:37 - Atattra Access Elevator The party enters the cave to the Aurora Shelf. They approach the Atattra Access Elevator for another scene. A tutorial introduces field crafting. The party can repair or construct helpful things at certain locations. The party examines the Elevator and expends the resources to repair it. Afterwards, they examine the Elevator again to start it up. A scene takes place. Jilljill rewards the party with the Happy Camper Gear, Veggie Soup Recipe, and Skewers Recipe. With them come new camp capabilities. "Elevator Repairs" complete! The party takes the elevator up. 46:25 - Aurora Shelf A scene takes place when the party arrives atop the Aurora Shelf. The background music is more Xenoblade goodness. More tutorials pop up. The party discovers the Elevator, Upper Landing landmark. A equips a Bunnit Choker. The party registers a couple Collectopaedia entries. The Elevator Landing Camp is southwest of the elevator. The party crafts a few basic gems: Steelcleaver I, Lifebearer I, and Steel Protection I. When they check the Cook option, they get a tutorial on Combat Streaks. Then, they chat with Jilljill for her Community entry. The party skip travels to the Springside Camp. 53:27 - Vermilion Woods The party enters the cave in the Leaf-Strewn Clearing and fights the Bombastic Rotbart Jr., a Level 10 unique. Having Nikol as a Defender is helpful. Rotbart drops a few accessories. The party skip travels back to the Elevator Landing Camp. 59:43 - Aurora Shelf The party picks up more Affinity Growth upgrades. Then, they save. This quest took them to the more dangerous Low Maktha Wildwood, where they reactivated the Cross-Maktha Elevator leading back to Colony Tau. The party also explored the high path leading west to the Cotte Fountainhead in the Great Cotte Falls. While there, they defeated the Aquatic Beasts, a pair of unique Quarduns. Now, the party will carry out Juniper's ascension quest in Colony Tau. The party resumes in Colony Tau in the High Maktha Wildwood, Pentelas Region. Lanz equips an Analyzer Scope to boost his TP in chain attacks. In the Crop Fields, the party talks to Carson. They learn the info "Strength-Giving Water". With Juniper set as the Hero, the party experiences a cutscene in the northern part of Colony Tau. They finally meet Consul U. Juniper leaves the party briefly. The party starts the hero quest "Survivors", Juniper's ascension quest. The first objective is to find Twineturf in Yellowgrove. I am suspicious of Consul U, though. The party sets Ashera as their Hero for now. They skip travel to the Sparkling Pool Camp to the northeast. They level up with bonus EXP. The party goes south from the camp into Yellowgrove. They climb the second tree and acquire four Twineturfs. This triggers a scene. Juniper rejoins the party and automatically takes over as the active Hero. The next destination is Colony Tau. The party skip travels back to the Sparkling Pool Camp. Juniper levels up with bonus EXP. The party skip travels to Colony Tau. They talk to Consul U for a cutscene sequence. The party is thrust into battle against the Tau-Raiding Monsters, a group of four Annon Rhinons. Another cutscene takes place after the battle. Consul U is just as disturbed as the other Consuls. The party battles more Tau-Raiding Monsters, a group of five Annon Rhinons. A scene with Consul U takes place after the battle. The party battles another batch of Tau-Raiding Monsters, a group of three Annon Rhinons. Following the battle, another scene with Consul U takes place. Well, she's a piece of work, isn't she? After the scene, it's finally boss time against Moebius U. She is Level 50, so my party does not have much trouble with her. It looks like she can inflict a toxin, though, so look out. Another scene takes place after the party defeats Moebius U. "Survivors" complete! The rank cap for Juniper's class, Stalker, increases to 20. The party turns in a Collectopaedia Card for Geum of Colony Tau. They set Ashera as their Hero and check around Tau. They put Juniper back in the party. Discussing "Strength-Giving Water" with Juniper will start a quest, so the party will do it later. They skip travel to the Sparkling Pool Camp. They go east and climb up to the Tirkinhold. There, they put Ashera in the party and fight the Dimwitted Tirkin, a Level 45 unique birdbrain. Fortunately, doing so does not make the other Tirkins turn hostile. The party skip travels back to the Sparkling Pool Camp. They level up a gem a couple of levels. They also cook some more Highly-Piley Ocean's Bounty. The party skip travels back to Colony Tau.
