While walking to Emmaus two disciples were given a four-hour plus Bible study by none other than Jesus Christ. He expounded unto them all the Old Testament scriptures concerning himself. Starting with The Prelude this channel will embark on the same journey.
Something Jesus said, filled with wrath, those listing to Him in the Synagogue, so that they want to throw Him off a cliff. In so much Elijah and Elisha ministered to gentiles during times of trouble, then also Jesus ministered the gentiles, becoming a light unto them.

Out of the rock, pours living water. A rock, the builders rejected. A rock of stumbling, and of offense. A rock that when one falls on will be shattered to pieces, and on the whom it falls, scatters to dust. Jesus is this rock, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone, the foundation, firmly placed, and all who believes in it will not be disappointed.

Yeshua the Messiah, Jesus the Christ the Son of God, born of a virgin, crucified according to the scriptures, and risen on the third day. So that, all who trust in Him shall not perish, because as He died and was risen, so shall we be with Him forever. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As Jesus approaches the cross, He teaches His disciples, that where He is going, they can't come, and that they won't see him again until the house of Israel say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. If Moses had petitioned the rock, as God had instructed, the water from the rock would have made a prophetic model of the Messiah, first struct and then petitioned.

Jesus tells the people a parable that seems to echo Isaiah, regarding a vineyard. A vineyard, that in both cases represent the House of Israel, the hearts of those who listen, the sacrifice to come, and closes with Psalms concerning "the corner stone the builders rejected". Showing us how all these scriptures are tied together, and more importantly, speak of Him.

Starting with Jesus washing the disciples' feet and finishing with Him sharing the parable of The Wedding Banquet, this ties perfectly with Abraham' servant going out to find a bride for Isaac, and as well Psalms 45 regarding the King and His bride. This is all not unlike the Holly Spirit who brings Christians in faith to Jesus, who all must purchase garments of white from Christ, and are presented as a bride to the Lord. Also, Isaac is not mentioned is the Scriptures from when the Angel of the Lord stop Abraham from sacrificing him, until he is united with his bride, so also the Scriptures teach the Messiah would be cutoff and not seen until united with His bride.

Jesus teaches us through the feeding of the 5000, that God knows what we have need of, and He will lead us to green pastures. Where we are well fed and clothed like the lilies of the field, and as Peter while keeping a trusting focus on the Lord was able walk above the waves, so shall we, not being troubled by the cares of this world.

God promised Abraham that through his seed the whole world would be blessed, and to King David He promised his kingdom would last forever, and that his seed shall be called the Son of God. Through the genealogy of Jesus, who became God in the flesh to save the world of its sin, both promises are fulfilled.
