I decided to have some fun, and see if I could come up with an alternate set up to my FARM build, although not much has changed. I rotated in a few new incarnates, including... carnies. I know.
The goal was to see if I can run in, and solo the AV. Prior attempts failed to break through the regen, and it wasn't until I found these (expensive) Ultimate Enhancements, which are rewards and can be purchased for Reward Merits also (not efficient for farming the AV, but cool to use. ALSO GREAT for tanking in trials).

GM2. THE TEMPLE OF SCAR FINAL BOSS PRACTICE (NO DEATH). This clip shows a potentially optimal strategy in the later GM tiers. It looks like you can keep the boss permanently stunned between phases. UPDATE: after extensive testing on GM2, I can confirm that the boss is stunned from a blast explosion on his front protective plate. the sticky grenade needs to land directly on the front plate for the stun to go off. the boss will then fall to the ground, and hunch over, leaving his human form exposed for increased weak point damage. you can do this for the entire fight, all the way to the end. Build listed below.

venom darts, sticky grenade, siege breaker (offhand sniper), tip of the spear, cooldown reduction
-quick overview-
most of the damage comes from combo + blast increase (nade), and cooldown reduction. the constant venom darts will ensure that you take the combo on detonation. you can usually fire one right before the grenade detonates. acid debuff also provides a group damage increase on the targets.
spam nades and darts, pretty simple! use your gun to help with shielded enemies. successful combo heals you for 40% hp (unlimited range) and will heal/rez the group members AOE around your javelin (tip of the spear MW mod). use siege breaker to freeze big elites, save ammo for only 3 shot freezes. main gun can by anything (flex spot). i chose thunderbolt of yvenia for the extra damage to shields (lightning proc).

Prepping for SHADOWKEEP (Oct. 1st), I found an old 4 minute video of mine, from the original Destiny 1 BETA. COMPLETE with Peter Dinklage as your ghost (the BEST ghost voice of all time). The footage was from July 19, 2014 (PS4).
In my opinion, Peter Dinklage was the best voice companion. I really miss having him whisper into my ear.

On my first playthrough (NG), I went through blind and unknowingly chose the SHURA ending. This is my second playthrough (NG+) as I continue through the other endings.

ENDGAME BUILD UPDATE: Testing after patch in 187+ SOLO. How does the spec perform now in the 187 rift? As expected, not as fast as before. 00:55 changes to the bleeding edge node, 01:56 changes to gems in rings/belt, 02:38 rift opened, 03:17 mini boss one, 07:13 mini boss two, 18:35 final boss fight begins, 23:23 final boss dies, 23:35 final thoughts.
SMALL CHANGE TO THE BUILD: Gems swap to transfer time reduction in belt/rings, and switch the node for bleeding edge "Unstoppable Momentum" with "Will-o'-the-wisp". Bleeding edge ailments now switch to Burn / Stasis (SWEET). I think switching to 2-hander might also be ideal in the future. Assuming I can get dodge chance higher, the 2-hander swap might allow for a much higher damage threshold now. Preliminary testing suggests it might be MORE optimal to skip the mini bosses, and only clear side areas / vendor spawn / final boss. The mini boss HP is too high now relative to our damage output. It feels a LOT slower now. The final boss with 84 million HP took almost 5 minutes of rolling around to DPS down. Still need to test Untainted runs.
I also have not had a chance to change any gear from before the patch, so more optimizations are needed now. I will be looking for a big 2-hander with Aether dominant damage specifically, and gear rolled with transfer time reduction and high dodge chance.

Build guide and overview for a level 50 Brute (SS/Invuln), hero side, with short gameplay at the end. Completing a level 50 + 2 radio mission (SOLO). I cover which powers I chose, slotting, and some of the logic behind my decisions. Gameplay of build starts at 10:55.
I have had some time to take the build out for a spin at level 50, and ran a bunch of Archvillain missions. I was able to main tank and off tank. Depending on the difficulty, and using the Unstoppable cooldown, I was also able to handle tanking the AVs. THE BUILD: Super Strength, Invulnerability + Superspeed, Super Jump for movement (old pvp combo, really fun). Centers around footsomping to maintain AoE damage and aggro, while single target dpsing targets down. Your damage will scale UP as combat proceeds.
I will continue to post videos of this build in action. I am gearing up for Trials and PVP! This game is SWEET.
