2021 Pink Power Triathlon Edit | New PR Set
This is a quick recap of our take on the 2021 Pink Power Triathlon. This is a local race with some great competition. Just a few years ago, this was the first triathlon Jess did, and only a few years later she made the podium. Check out this recap video and and go find a way to get involved in your area.

All women... regardless of age /color / religion /ability /weight /whatever "label" that exists... just doesn't matter. Show off or don't, this tri is a happy place!
It's near the end of summer, so you have all year to train. It's your time, ladies! Reunite with your best friends, mom, daughter, cousin, college buddy, high school bud, niece, neighborhood, or women's group. Participate as an individual or as a relay team.
Pool swim at the Midlothian Family YMCA : the pool is a heated, outdoor 25 meter lap. We use BOTH pools to speed up the swim start: only half the wait! Not comfortable with swimming? No problem! Walk it, breast stroke, back stroke, hang on the lane line, wait at the wall... "breathe" ... but just make forward progress!
Official Distance:
400m time-trial swim in 25m pool,
11.9 mile rolling bike course does have a few good hills,
5K Run course winds through the beautiful Midlothian Mines park and adjacent neighborhood

2024-bmx-parts-upgrade-how-much-weight
We've been wanting to make some changes to Riley's bike and I finally took a look at all the parts in the garage and we decided to change her wheels. We figured this change would lighten the rotational mass a little making it easier to spin the back wheel. We also are planning to jump her gear up one tooth to a 45/16. This extra roll out along with the lighter wheel should allow her to exert the same effort and get more forward movement per stroke.
Also in this video she is doing some good old, down home wrenching and learning how to work on her bike. The tires I had on the Alienation hoops were locked into the retainers which makes it incredibly hard to unseat... the struggle is real.
