Final Fantasy V (SNES) - Pyramid of Moore - Archeosaur & Niles
A treasure chest containing a White Robe will trigger an enemy ambush, where an Archeosaur and a duo of Niles statues will appear. The Archeosaur will use its claw to attack and has a chance of poisoning the target. It can also cast a zombie breath that can turn a fighter into a zombie after it faints. If it summons a cyclone, the target’s health will be reduced to a single digit. As for the Niles, they will unleash dark sparks that will half the level of a target. If an Nile is hit by a Golden Needle, it will vanish. After the battle, continue to navigate the pyramid.

Enter the Relic Passage where a cave is below the building to the Pokémon World Tournament and use Strength to clear the maze. One opening leads to the Relic Castle where you’ll eventually find Volcarona. Save your game before you interact. Volcarona is on Level 35. If you defeat it, you’ll have the 2nd chance later after you beat the Elite Four. It will be on Level 65 for your 2nd chance later on. Net Balls would be recommended since Volcarona is Bug/Fire type.

Kabutops will use Aqua Jet to strike first and Giga Drain to restore its HP by half the damage the target took. Rampardos will use Stone Edge to more easily land a critical hit and Avalanche to deal double damage if it took damage the same turn. A move like Giga Drain works best for this battle.

After beating the Elite Four, you’ll battle Lance, the Dragon master. When Gyarados is running out of HP, it will use Flail to inflict big damage. It will also combo with Rain Dance and Surf. There are 2 Dragonite that will use Thunder Wave to paralyze opponents and then make them flinch by using Twister. One Dragonite knows Thunder while the other knows Blizzard. Aerodactyl will use Ancientpower to raise all of its stats 10% of the time the move strikes. Charizard will use Flamethrower to burn opponents and Slash to make hits turn critical often. The 3rd Dragonite will use Safeguard to prevent all status problems for 5 turns then use Outrage to repeat for 2-3 turns until becoming confused. After winning, you’ll enter the Hall of Fame and unlock your post-game quests.

Climb your way to the top of the Giant Tree and you’ll battle against a Gidrah. The Gidrah can attack by swinging its three heads, summoning a cyclone, and setting off earthquakes. It can also cast a cloud of gas that paralyzes opponents, and its physical attacks can sometimes poison the target, so be sure to have some Heal Potions to remove those status conditions. Be sure to get rid of the duo of Skuldiers before turning your attention to the boss. After the battle, speak with the stone head on the wall to let it transport you on the world map.

After doing so, an ambush of Sorcerers and Knights will come to you. A Sorcerer has a load of spells, including confusion, death, haste, stun, and curse at tier 6, while the rest of its spells are tier 8 techniques that feature draining, fire, and ice. The Sergeants are just like when you battle a solo one inside the Semitt Falls Cavern. Defeat the entire ambush and continue to make your way through the castle.
