The warships are leaving Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia after the Navy issued a “sortie code alpha” earlier this week. Sortie code alpha is the Navy’s way of telling its ships to get out of Dodge, immediately.
Footage of the behemoth warships lumbering out of port was uploaded to the Navy’s YouTube channel.
Although a few ships were stuck in port due to maintenance issues, they will be safeguarded by extra precautions according to a release by the Navy.

Subscribe to the channel at https://goo.gl/VjHw6T September 11th is a day for Americans to come together in solidarity, to remember that what binds us together is stronger than the forces trying to tear us apart. This year — more so than any other year since the horrific terror attacks in New York — the United States feels divided. We are led by a president who seems to have a vested interest in driving wedges between us, in reducing us to petty tribal squabbling between race, class, and political affiliation.
This morning, Lou Dobbs, one of Trump’s slobbering media attack dogs, went afer President Obama’s former Attorney General Eric Holder by claiming that if he were still running the Justice Department currently it would be “behaving no differently.”
Presumably, Dobbs is trading on the widespread impression in Trumpland that Holder was corrupt and partisan and is using his name as shorthand to attack Jeff Sessions, who Trump has long been displeased with. In essence, he’s saying things couldn’t be any worse at the DOJ, not even if Eric Holder were running it. It was a cheap, dishonest sentiment.
Trump himself tweeted out Dobbs’s unprovoked jab, refusing to abandon his brand of petty political bickering even on a day like today. The man is incapable of understanding or simply doesn’t care that what Americans want from their president today is a message of strength and unity. Instead he’s giving us more reality television drama.
Eric Holder, never one to hold his tongue when it comes to criticising the current president, quickly shot back. He correctly stated that today is “not a day for the usual unhinged Trump politics.” Instead, Holder said we should use today to reflect on the American lives lost on 9/11 and on the sacrifices of the courageous first responders who died on that fateful day.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday morning insisted he had no concerns about former campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s recent agreement to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller.
“If he’s honest, and he is, I think he’s going to tell — as long as he tells the truth, it’s 100 percent,” Trump said on the South Lawn of the White House.
As part of a guilty plea struck last Friday, Manafort agreed to cooperate fully with Mueller’s probe into Russian interference and whether the Trump campaign aided the Kremlin in its efforts. The cooperation deal, which includes no restrictions on what topics Manafort can discuss with Mueller’s team, was surprising to some given Manafort’s prior vows to fight the charges against him — and Trump’s praise of those efforts.
Trump on Wednesday continued to compliment his former senior campaign aide.

The worst thing imaginable for Democrats is happening right now.
It appears as if the Kavanaugh accuser is getting cold feet about testifying.
It’s been 36 hours and she has not responded to the invitation to testify under oath.
The Hill
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said on Tuesday that a woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault hasn’t confirmed that she will testify publicly next week.

Subscribe to the channel at https://goo.gl/VjHw6T Empress Nur Jahan was the most powerful woman in 17th Century India. She played an unprecedented role in running the vast Mughal empire. Historian Ruby Lal explains why the history of her leadership is important to understand today.
She was named Mihr un-Nisa at birth and was later named Nur Jahan (light of the world) by her husband, the Mughal emperor, Jahangir. She was born only a few decades after Queen Elizabeth I, yet she ruled a territory far more diverse than that of her British counterpart.
The Mughals ruled much of the Indian subcontinent for more than 300 years after they came to power early in the 16th century. It was one of India's biggest and most powerful dynasties. Many of its emperors and royal women, including Nur Jahan, were patrons of art, music and architecture - they built grand cities and majestic forts, mosques and tombs.
And as the dynast's only woman ruler, Nur Jahan is omnipresent in the folklore of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Subscribe to the channel at https://goo.gl/VjHw6T Nikki Haley is mad as hell, and she’s not going to take it anymore.
By now, almost everybody has read about the anonymous Op-Ed article that was published in The New York Times — allegedly penned by a senior White House official.
The scathing piece has been one of the most critical hits against President Donald Trump since he took office. While many questions still remain about the article, including its authenticity and author, it has sent the administration into damage control mode.
It’s a safe bet that United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley wasn’t the one behind the letter, at least if her own Op-Ed in the Washington Post on Friday is any sign.

During a Labor Day parade in Pittsburgh, former Vice President Joe Biden made a vulgar comment toward the cameraman for the conservative PAC America Rising, using a slang term for male genitalia. At the same event, Biden talked about the importance of being civil and respectful.
Biden turned to America Rising’s cameraman and said, “You’re a real pr***, you know that?”
Biden’s comment is ironic considering this was the same event where he spoke about restoring civility in politics, according to Independent Journal Review.

More than half of the Netherlands' senior clerics were involved in covering up sexual assault of children between 1945 and 2010, a press report claimed Saturday, further engulfing the Catholic Church in a global abuse scandal.
Over the course of 65 years, 20 of 39 Dutch cardinals, bishops and their auxiliaries "covered up sexual abuse, allowing the perpetrators to cause many more victims", the daily NRC reported.
"Four abused children and 16 others allowed the transfer of paedophile priests who could have caused new victims in other parishes," the Dutch newspaper added.
Church spokeswoman Daphne van Roosendaal told AFP the church could "confirm a part" of the report.
Other elements were based on anonymous information provided by a victims' assistance unit set up by the church.

Subscribe to the channel at https://goo.gl/VjHw6T There was quite a bit of controversy when it was recently announced that Nike had hired the disgracefully anti-American ex-NFL star Colin Kaepernick to be the new face of its heretofore purely inspirational “Just Do It” advertising campaign — which now comes with a healthy dose of progressive social justice.
Kaepernick’s deal with Nike appeared to be rather lucrative — multi-millions of dollars for multiple years — with a Yahoo NFL reporter detailing the terms of the deal to include a branded line of shoes, shirts, jerseys and other apparel bearing Kaepernick’s name and/or likeness. Plus there are royalties on the sales of such items.
One would assume that such a lucrative deal would also be an exclusive one as well, given the incredible amount of publicity brought to both Nike and Kaepernick by the arrangement, but a report from BizPac Review has revealed that such assumptions would be flat out wrong.
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback — who launched the anti-American protests of the national anthem prior to NFL games in 2016 after losing his starting quarterback role — has also now launched his own line of branded apparel, separate from the Nike merchandise that will bear his brand.
