n his morning update today, Dr. John Campbell talked about how a Formula 1 team was working with the British NHS to make CPAOP machines which could sometimes function in the place of ventilators.
As I am not a scientist or an engineer I pass this on with no real suggestions, except for one inexact one - Campbell seems to indicate in the video that these new CPAPs might be hooked up to oxygen tanks (I wasn't clear on that).
So for those of you who have them, you might be able to use yours as a quick interrim hack until you get to the hospital, or you could offer up the suggestion to the docs, if they are talking intubation.
Again, I'm not sure. All I know is that in the face of an emergency some DIY and some hacks will be needed.
