It took me long to get to it, but this is a short look at Nemo Mobile 0.8 and Glacier UX installed on a current Sailfish release. Unfortunately one of my PinePhones had an almost empty battery, which made this tougher to do than normal.
Sorry for the cough and if this video is not as good as it could be.

Yet another part of my #DailyDriverChallenge, this time showcasing a couple Qt Apps on postmarketOS stable with Phosh.
Similar to desktop Linux, installing Apps from the other world (e.g. a KDE App on GNOME or a GNOME App on KDE comes with a ton of dependencies and takes some space on your disk. On the nascent mobile platforms this "borrowing-over" of apps onto the other platform is even more necessary, as there aren't many apps full stop.
Missing dependencies can be figured out by starting the app from the terminal, enabling of qt5ct works by setting the the environment variable as follows QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct (e.g. in /etc/environment).
For Flatpak and Scaling check: https://linmob.net/2020/07/27/pinephone-daily-driver-challenge-part2-flatpak-and-scaling-in-phosh.html
In this video I am having a look at (package source in brackets):
- Calindori (pmOS),
- KDE Itinery (kdeapps flatpak),
- qt5ct (pmOS),
- Angelfish Browser (kdeapps flatpak),
- QiFlora (flathub),
- Index (pmOS).
The blog post for this video is: http://linmob.net/2020/08/01/pinephone-daily-driver-challenge-part4-crossing-desktop-environment-boudaries.html
I am not too happy with it, so if you have further questions, please ask and I will augment it.
Please excuse my rambling, the heat is killing me and I can barely think properly.

A 15 minute long walkthrough the first Alpha of Manjaro with Lomiri.
Lomiri is the UI you know and (hopefully) love from Ubuntu Touch by UBports, running here on a Manjaro base. As can be expected with a release that is called Alpha 1 it is still early days and there are some bugs – but it is a lot better than their previous Alpha 0 releases were.

In this video I am having a look at three distributions at once:
- Manjaro Plasma Mobile (dev build, 2020/10/18; https://osdn.net/projects/manjaro-arm/storage/pinephone/plasma-mobile/dev/201018/,
- postmarketOS with Plasma Mobile (initially release 5.19), build with pmbootstrap on 2020/10/22; https://postmarketos.org/)
- KDE Neon (20201023; https://images.plasma-mobile.org/pinephone/plasma-mobile-neon-20201023-132518.img.gz).
There’s progress and promise, but the current state is a bit rough.
I am working on an article on the topic, which I am going to link here once it is done.
