This journal entry is from August 2, 2016. You know how people always say that “tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of your life” …? Well, for some bizarre reason, today feels exactly that way. Going to prison tomorrow feels a lot like the first day of the rest of your life. And, mind you, not in a good way. What I didn’t realize about all of this at the time, is that going to prison is very similar to like losing your virginity. Why??? Because, once you experience something as life changing as that, you can never and will never ever go back to the way you were before. Everything’s changed. Everything changes. And everything will change. You will change. Forever. Today feels like that.
