Americans continue to marvel and benefit at the pump from low oil prices. Yet, they do not know why all of a sudden prices are falling so drastically. In this video we provide answers to this question. We also address the following:
1) Do market forces have anything to do with oil low prices?
2) Is Washington looking out for our interests as politicians want us to believe?
3) Does the drop in oil prices go beyond supply and demand?
One thing is sure: As prices continue to fall given the pandemic and drop in air travel, many oil companies in the US are shutting down their operations. The lesson in all this: The drop in oil prices is driven by politics as much as economics.
