3 June, 2021: Q&A livestream with Karen Straughan (GirlWritesWhat)
[Note: This livestream has already taken place, we’re placing it here in order to alert our subscribers to it. It was a very enjoyable hour, Karen on great form. The following text is the text we put in the description of the alert video we published before the livestream.]
Elizabeth Hobson (former party leader) and I are delighted to announce that the legendary Karen Straughan (GirlWritesWhat) will be joining us for a livestream Q&A at 21:30 BST on Thursday, 3 June. Her YouTube channel, with 215,000+ subscribers:
We invite you to take advantage of this rare opportunity to engage in a live Q&A with Karen. Feel free to email me (mike@j4mb.org.uk) in advance of the livestream with any question(s) you'd like me to put to her. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HquJ3uIW0Wo

[Note added 14.11.15: Jess Phillips was a particularly worthy winner of our Toxic Feminist of the Month award https://j4mb.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/151031-v2-jess-phillips-mp-toxic-feminist-of-the-month.pdf.]
Even by the anti-male standards of the BBC, this was outrageous. Jess Phillips MP mocked and laughed at a bid by Philip Davies MP to have a debate on men's issues on International Men's Day, in the chamber of the House of Commons (the video is on this channel). Her committee - all the other members, including the chairmen, were men - pathetically bowed to her feminist demand.
Andrew Marr failed to mention why Phillips had suddenly become infamous, saying this to her (1:17):
"You had a ferocious argument with a Tory MP [note: unnamed] who went for you, then you had a horrible lot of trolling on the internet, so you had a very, very, rough week... tell us a bit about what happened."
There was no 'ferocious argument', Philip Davies must be the most calm and measured MP in parliament. Ms Phillips's response:
"... People threatened to rape, bind, and gag me on the internet this week, because I spoke from a feminist perspective, which apparently is anathema...'.
Could it be any clearer? 'A feminist perspective' includes blocking debates on men's issues in parliament. Feminism has NOTHING to do with gender equality, and EVERYTHING to do with female supremacy.

This video is one of 120 videos published for the sixth International Conference on Men's Issues (2020), a conference originally planned for Sydney, Australia, but later turned into a virtual conference due to Covid-19.
From #metoo to the American Psychological Association’s guidelines pathologizing “masculinity” as harmful, to Gillette’s razor adverts blaming all men for the actions of a damaged few, ideologically motivated groups have used unchallenged narratives of female victimhood to promote damaging stereotypes about men and boys, masculinity and men’s relationships to each other.
More than ever before, recognition of men’s issues is needed. Men and boys deserve compassion, they deserve consideration for their unique needs, and they deserve our support.
Men and boys also deserve respect for their unique contributions to society and an end to the promotion of unkind stereotyping of being harmful, abusive, toxic, selfish and hateful. We would not tolerate this stereotyping directed towards any other group.
We are in an era of unprecedented ideological conflict. By reducing men’s ability to take a positive identity from their masculinity we are encouraging young men to pursue ever more radical ideologies to find a place to belong. In turn we are also encouraging young women to embrace an identity as society’s victims rather than its equal co-creators.
International Conferences on Men’s Issues (ICMIs) have been held annually since 2014, with the exception of 2015:

We marched to the Royal Courts of Justice, the speakers on this video are Jordan Holbrook, then another man (can someone please let us know his name?), then Nigel Pankhurst.
