The secluded paradise of Whenuakura Island (Formerly Known as Donut Island) lies just off the coast of Whangamata Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand. On our first day in Dominical, we hit off the Uvita Waterfall, a thrilling, natural waterslide in Costa Rica. Some people mistakenly call this waterfall Cascada Verde, but that is just the name of a nearby hostel. The 20 foot Uvita Waterfall is Mother Nature’s waterslide and is one of the best outdoor adventure activities in Costa Rica. There are also other, smaller pools downstream of the waterfall that are perfect for younger kids.
