I went to the zoo the other day.
This is what Toronto Zoo is like these days.
Tickets are sold online in advance.
Tickets have a scheduled entry time, but once inside, you are free to stay until the Zoo closes at night.
Many of the paths have been made one way, to control the flow of visitors.
Several of the pavilions and areas are closed.
All inside areas require face coverings.
Several of the animals are at higher risk (bats, cats, pigs, primates) and have additional barriers installed to keep more distance between visitors and the animals.
Signs reminding guests of the rules are posted just about everywehere. Handwashing stations are easy to find.

After upgrading my Nikon Z6 to Firmware 3.0, I played around with some settings and stumbled into a setup that gives me everything I've ever wanted in an AF system.
There is a description of the settings below so you don't have to watch the full video.
I keep the camera in AF-C full auto AF.
Autofocus is disabled on shutter half-press.
AF-ON is set to "AF-ON"
Fn1 is set to subject tracking.
Operation:
Press and hold AF-ON for full auto AF with and face/eye detect.
As soon as you want to take control, release AF-ON and press Fn1 to bring up the subject tracking box.
Press and hold AF-ON to lock on to your subject and engage subject tracking.
Release AF-ON to lock focus.
Press Fn1 again to turn off subject tracking and return to FULL AUTO AF.
This setup gives me instant access to the following shooting modes
AF-S (by releasing back button focus button)
AF-C (by holding down back button focus button)
Full Auto AF
Subject Tracking
Subject tracking seems to work even better for focus and recompose shooting than my old method of using AF-C and Single Point AF or D9.

This video presents a brief description of the areas of Darktable that you will be interacting with most often, then goes through an edit, from import to processing to export, to let you know what the general workflow of Darktable looks like.

It's not often that it's still 24 degrees outside an hour after sunset.
That means I gotta take my hedgehog to the park!
My little land urchin sure seems a lot braver and more willing to explore this time around.

Sometimes, when I post something, I get copyright claims that I don't have the rights to use elements in my videos.
But I make all the damn elements myself!
But YouTube doesn't really know how to handle a regular person making their own media, the forms ask about things like albums and records labels.
I hope this video can be used to demonstrate that I am responsible for the background noise in all of my videos since about 2009.

My first ever oil painting. Painted when I was about 14.
Normally, I'd keep something like this for sentimental reasons, but it was stored in a basement that had a flood, and mildew started to grow on the back.
Fortunately, it was all old art from my school days that was damaged, just my practice work, none of the work in my primary focus was harmed.

I got a smoke machine for Halloween. Decided to use it to make a new weird shit video.
This one is kinda inspired by the film Mandy, with it's general overall dirtiness, smoke, and colourful light, (although I took it easy on the grain) Split up one melody between 5 pads, played with delays, had some fun with sound. Made it dirty. Took it back a notch, then took it back another notch. Ended up mixing all 3 into this video.
