A whole profile was written about how this guy and his fighting style, this is what the Democrats have been sorely needing. Is he possibly gonna be our 2020 nominee? They were saying at the time, back in 18. Because he, he, he attacked Trump. He was good at the Trump, I mean, who couldn't attack Trump? Right. I mean, anybody, anybody had enough information to go after. But from the very beginning, you, you identified the guy as an absolute utter fraud. Yeah. I mean, you had some of the first stories about this guy being an absolute fraud and on the other, because you had the stories where he had this long history of him stealing money from clients, committing fraud, complete, committing wire, you know, wire transfer. Wire fraud, tax fraud, bank fraud. I mean, his firm was going under, by the way, before Stormy Daniels showed up and basically saved everything for him. Did I get it right though? My memory is that the Democrats thought, oh, this is the guy. Well, they, they really did. There were think pieces in every major media outlet that, could this be the future of the Democratic party? I mean, people go, go look. Why, why does that happen? It's hero worship. It is 100%. We're so pathetic. We need a leader. And this conman who is just like Donald Trump shows up and he says, hey, I'm your leader. Look at me. I've got a fancy law degree. I've, I've, I've helped people and forget the stealing part. Yeah, yeah. And I'm, I'm, I'm a tough talker. I'm not taking any crap while I'm on cable news. Yeah. And people said, wow, it's so rare for us to see anybody on the left fight that, sure, we'll follow you wherever you're going, Mr. Piper. So right now he's looking at potential six years, right? Two that he's already been, two that where he's, he's, he threatened Nike. If you, if you don't pay me 20, it was, it was ransom. Yeah. You gotta pay me a ransom or. Pay me $20 million or I'm going public. Yeah. And then, and then you got four years that are new. Correct? Yeah. And then you've got other charges throughout the, throughout the country. Now I wanna point something out. Most all of that was already known. Yeah. When MSNBC was putting him up as the talking head, when CNN said he might be the great white hope, all of that was already known, but they, the corporate media didn't tell that part of the story. So the average voter thought, wow, this is the guy. He's a tough talker. Right? Right. And then of course, after Avenatti fell from grace, the next person they flocked to was immediately Andrew Cuomo. Yeah. So. Jesus. They, they don't have a good track record on picking their next Democratic hero, if those are the two guys that at one point were supposed to save the party. Well, Republicans aren't any better. Right. It's the Democrats the same as, I mean, it's human nature. We need a hero and we are just so tied into hero worship in this country. We really are. Yesterday the house passed the rules packages, which of course include all of the concessions that Kevin McCarthy made to the extremist in his party in exchange for that speaker's gavel. But even yesterday, a new concession was revealed, and this one was not in the rules package because this is more of a verbal agreement, I guess you would say. Not necessarily something in writing, but something that McCarthy agreed to that will not only benefit the extremists, but help them grow their ranks. And that concession was that McCarthy said that the con, uh, congressional Leadership Fund, the Congressional Super PAC that he runs will no longer support any candidate in an open seat primary in a Republican district. Here's what that means. Let's say, let's use my district as an example because it's a deep red district where a Republican is always gonna win, say Matt Gaetz doesn't run for reelection. So we have a bunch of Republicans come in in a primary, we've got one normal Republican who's doing well in the polls and we've got one MAGA style Republican. Typically, this congressional leadership fund would come in and they would fund the normal Republican in the primary, which would put the MAGA Republican at a disadvantage under this new rule, they will give money to neither candidate. So they cannot elevate normal Republicans, nor can they trash crazy Republicans. And as we saw from the democratic strategy this past election cycle where democratic groups came in and hyped up the MAGA candidate in the primaries and then ended up beating them in the general, we know how toxic these MAGA people can be. But we also know with a good Democrat we can beat 'em, but not in a deep red district. And that's the problem. So the MAGA people get the advantage with this new concession from McCarthy because they will not be attacking them. They will not be boosting a normal Republican, which again could end up bolstering the ranks of these MAGA fanatics in the House of Representatives. But McCarthy didn't care. All McCarthy wanted was that power without stopping to think for a second that this particular concession, based on the other rules that he has now solidified, could result in him getting voted out of the speakership if the ranks of those, uh, MAGA Freedom Caucus Republicans continues to grow. So he didn't really think this through be, so he's ultimately probably gonna pay the price for it. But so is the United States. Instead of getting rid of these members of the Freedom Caucus throughout Election cycles, we will see more of them. Instead of getting rid of the obstruction, it will grow worse.
