The Trident Fitness Warrior Grind is: Cycling for 2 Days, and 250 Miles! Raising money for Operation Restored Warrior!
There is an epidemic in the ranks of our Veterans. More and more Veterans are turning to suicide to end the many stresses they face after experiencing combat tours. Join us this September 28-29, 2013 as we set off on a 250 mile endurance cycling challenge to raise money and awareness to effectively treat these hero's. 100% of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Operation Restored Warrior foundation. They lead Veterans through a program they have in place which help them get emotionally back on track, set goals, and realize their purpose among many other things. This is what our Veterans need, not more drugs!
PARTICIPATION OPTIONS:
Each rider or team of riders will be responsible for raising money for their place in the Warrior Grind. This will make each rider or team get intimately involved with the cause and keep them focused and excited about the challenge they are taking on. It is estimated that putting one Veteran through the ORW program costs roughly $2,000. So the entrance fees are based on a tangible number that makes each rider or team of riders personally responsible for saving a Veterans life!
Individual Cost $2,000.00 (save a Veteran!)
Team Cost $6,000.00 (save 3 Veterans!!!) Note: A Team consists of 5-10 riders.
Company Sponsorship/Event Booth Cost $5,000.00
Donations/Volunteers are welcome and appreciated!
DONATIONS:
We are currently updating our website to accept payment. In the meantime, you can mail a check.
*Please make check payable to The Heritage Foundation-ORW
*Please send check to:
Trident Fitness, LLC
P.O. Box 180502
Casselberry, FL 32718
*Along with the check, please send your name & address so we can send back your tax-deductible receipt. Also include the rider's name you are sponsoring or team of riders you are sponsoring (or indicate "donation only").
LOCATION:
The ride will start the morning of Sat. Sept. 28 in the area of Northland Church on Dog Track Road, Longwood, FL (just north of Orlando). The riders will be given the route directions and will make their way 125 miles to the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, FL. Here, riders can take a break, get some sleep, and have some food before making their way back to the starting location on Sun. Sept. 29, 2013 for a total of 250 miles.
This is sure to be a challenge, but that is how Trident Fitness rolls! The greatest motivation the riders will have is the support of the people who are backing them with their donations, and the fact that each rider will know that every mile further they go, the closer they are to saving the life of a Veteran, who at one point would have done the same for them! This is the true reward!

Many street fights go to the ground and we may find ourselves in a situation where we need to create space and manage our firearm to engage the attacker and keep our guard up while creating space to safely stand. Here is a quick excerpt from last weeks Concealed Carry Combatives training.

In this day in age, its easy to get distracted by the new and cool. But the tools don't make a warrior, they just make it easier for the warrior to accomplish their mission. Mindset and skillsets are what make a warrior. Are you focusing on the right things?
In this video I'm joined by fellow SEAL Jonny Marden as we discuss the importance of skillsets over tools. I also did a podcast with Jonny and you can listen to it here:

This video shows another face clinch option from the NAUKA Fighting System.
A couple quick points for this face clinch:
1. The goal is not strangulation but rather pain compliance
2. This also breaks down your opponent's body position, making them easier to control.
This is just a technique demonstration. As always, there is always a counter to the counter, to the counter etc.

Many times we see shooters utilize the hood of a vehicle (for example) as cover but lean or lay overtop of it to stabilize their pistols shots. This technique creates a very dangerous situation for the person using the cover as near misses tend to become definite impacts from crowding the cover. By staying at least 3 or more feet (more space is batter in most situations) back from the cover object it increases the chances that miss and deflect have enough space for the deflection angle to take the round off course and miss the shooter using the cover.
