"In 1977, the founder and leader of the National Socialist Party of America, Frank Collin, planned a Nazi march in Skokie, Illinois, a village whose population consisted of 50% Jews, many of whom were Holocaust survivors. During legal proceedings, Collin was represented by a Jewish ACLU lawyer and opposed by Jewish ADL and JDL activists. It later became known that Collin himself was partly Jewish and the son of a Holocaust survivor, Max Simon Cohn. In 1979, Collin was convicted of child molestation and sentenced to seven years in prison. In 1981, Jewish filmmaker Herbert Wise made a documentary about the Skokie Affair, though without mentioning Collin's Jewish roots."
