Spore - Shakr Broadwing
"The funding for the Shakr Research Project had been cut, after repeated... incidents, and casualties. It has been months since the last mission. However the government pulled off a big 180 once our long-ranged scans produced a rather.. peculiar specimen.
We've been unable to get any close appearances to the specimen yet, our next mission isn't for a while yet, but we've been trying to capture more scans of this one. It's not quite as large as the Goliath, or the Bulwark, but still of considerable size. Its wingspan is... unrealistic.
We can only see the very top of the specimen. One tremendous set of wings, and a second set behind them... or... gliders? Not sure, but the center of the body seems broad, too. We think this may be some sort of transportation for the Shakr. We'll need to view this thing from more than just the top to be sure.
I hope our next mission proves more successful than the last..."
I had a Mothra-type theme to this one, instead of a regular insect (although some Dragonfly was included). As the description above says, it's meant to be some sort of carrier for the armies, hence the large claws, and the little pits in its underbody. Sorry it's been a while since the last Shakr!

I was quite to surprised to find that I hadn't already approached this - I've made plenty of raptors before but not the ones from Jurassic Park or Jurassic World. I figured it was due time I create the whole squad!

So after all of these experiments, attempts, and just generally playing around to with different ideas and techniques, my partner suggested I make the Mosasaurus from Jurassic World... which I just had to do. Consider this sculpture here my first serious one.
It's not meant to be 100% accurate to the Mosasaurus or the Jurassic World incarnation, so take my design with a pinch of salt, as I am mostly just trying to capture an idea.
