Luton to Bow Brickhill and back via Chalton, Toddington, Milton Bryan, Woburn and Woburn Sands. Sunny, very windy and a bit wet in places! The camera recorded mostly wind noise, so let's listen to Doc Watson as we go.
At about 4:10 I am passing Bow Brickhill church, where the cockpit of VW120, a de Havilland 108 'Swallow', fell after breaking up in a trans-sonic dive test in February 1950. All three DH108s crashed, the first one killing Geoffrey de Havilland. VW120 was the first British aircraft to break the sound barrier.
