Documentary follows an actress, fashion designer and real estate assistant who attempt to become social media influencers by purchasing fake followers and bots to boost their popularity.
Since the beginning of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, the country has been subjected to thousands of sanctions from Europe and the US. With international banking transactions suspended and supply chains disrupted, Russian businesses had to regroup and look for new ways to keep functioning. Many succeeded in finding new ways to organise their operations; some even saw sanctions as a blessing in disguise since they helped become less dependent on foreign resources and technology.
Some companies had the experience of surviving a crisis. A footwear production company in Dagestan survived 2008 and 2014 and even expanded its operations. So did another company, a dairy in the city of Vladimir owned by a British farmer John Kapiski. In 2014, when many foreign dairy exports were banned, they managed to open a cheese-making facility and produce 40 types of cheese, butter and yoghurt. They admit now they rely heavily on foreign medications and parts but see this as a challenge and are going to find a way. A Moscow-based furniture producer has suffered a decline in publicity after social media was closed, but can't deny furniture giants leaving the Russian market are an advantage. Now the team is trying to revise its product range, add new items or redesign existing ones to cut costs.
The overall sentiment was best expressed by Murad Dzhalaev, a shoe factory owner from Dagestan, “ We are currently in good spirits and ready to work. We’re not afraid of any crisis because we’ve been through them before. So I think we’ll power through.”

An Inconvenient Truth is a 2006 American concert/documentary film directed by Davis Guggenheim about former United States Vice President Al Gore's campaign to educate people about global warming. The film features a slide show that, by Gore's own estimate, he has presented over 1,000 times to audiences worldwide.
The idea to document Gore's efforts came from producer Laurie David, who saw his presentation at a town hall meeting on global warming, which coincided with the opening of The Day After Tomorrow. Laurie David was so inspired by his slide show that she, with producer Lawrence Bender, met with Guggenheim to adapt the presentation into a film. Premiering at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and opening in New York City and Los Angeles on May 24, 2006, the documentary was a critical and commercial success, winning two Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature and Best Original Song.[4] The film grossed $24 million in the U.S. and $26 million at the international box office, becoming the 11th highest grossing documentary film to date in the United States.[5]
Since the film's release, An Inconvenient Truth has been credited for raising international public awareness of global warming and reenergizing the environmental movement. The documentary has also been included in science curricula in schools around the world, which has spurred some controversy. A sequel to the film, titled An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, was released on July 28, 2017.

The corruption runs deeper than you'd ever imagine. A multi-billion dollar industry you've never heard of. This is the world Patent Trolls thrive in: A world created for them by our own U. S. Patent system. You can be sued for clicking on a hyperlink, using your own scanner, or sharing your Wi-Fi! It sounds insane, but the reality is even crazier. Patent Trolls look for obvious ideas, patent them, and then sue anyone they claim is infringing on their idea. People's lives and businesses are being destroyed.. and they have no way out. “The Patent Scam” exposes the underbelly of this system, and the people that commit this practice.
"The Patent Scam" highlights the many challenges frivolous patent litigation poses for business owners and entrepreneurs, juxtaposing their stories of struggle against interviews with lawyers and patent trolls who are benefiting from these loopholes in our patent system. Non-practicing entities (NPEs) purchase vague, low quality patents - many of which should never have been granted in the first place - to claim ownership of commonly-used ideas or business methods such as searching for something using a computer. Non Practicing Entities (NPE), also known as "patent trolls," use these patents to threaten litigation against businesses, particularly small and medium sized businesses they know will not have the funding to endure a lengthy legal battle. Ultimately, the film asks Congress to act to protect America's entrepreneurs from this drain on innovation.—Austin Meyer
