I always knew this emphasis on all things race discrimination was a little odd and overblown, when I got to college I started to realize it was an actual problem but I dug into it anyway, and when I finally realized that it was a rigged game that I was designed to lose harder than anyone else despite my best efforts and intentions, and more importantly other people were finally waking up and taking notice, that's when, for me, drawing a line in the sand and getting vocal became a MUST.
