P38 came on the back of a towing truck There are only 3 basic tests for a none starting petrol/gas engine 1 No Crank 2 No Sparks 3 No Fuel Possibly 4 No key! I wanted to show how to test for fuel pressure. I have seen defective pumps that kick the gauge all over the place but the reading was stable I also wanted to see the state of the inertia switch and show how to test it, as the roads here are very bad and I have seen these jump and cut off the pump So it was a fuse blown, but it could be a weak fuse, or a bad wire – if it was a short, then the fuse would go straight away, but as it didn’t it could be a one off The fuel tank on the P38 HAS to come out to access the pump – there is a YouTube video of a guy cutting the carpet and floor to gain access!
