Saw the show last night. It's a ten minute walk from my place. Excellent! Tight band, 11 piece, and they played all the Talking heads hits from the classic album 'Remain in light' as well as pre 1980 tracks. Major rhythms with this band! My favorite song was saved for last: The great curve. I can solo all day to that track. Adrian always looks like he's having a great time. This is how I want to be when I grow up. Adrian is about the only guitarist I know of that plays a Parker fly like mine (with midi) but did not have it at this show. This guy has played with Zappa, Bowie, Talking heads, King Crimson, The Bears, as well as his instrumental trio. I like how he never plays a normal solo. He's totally into pitch pedals and the whammy bar. I like to use my pitch pedal on the street as well, but only for short bursts. I first went to the Commodore around 1986 when I saw Buckwheat Zydeco and John Lee Hooker. Spring loaded dance floor. Saw many shows here over the years, including Gov't Mule, Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose, Steve Morse. Last time I was there was 2014 for a Devo concert. Can't believe it's almost ten years!
