This is the March 9, 1994 proto of SOR3 from Hidden-Palace, which seems to be among the protos overlooked by the crew there.

This is a localization prototype.
It's pretty decently far along, but the attract demo glitches out at some points where text is meant to appear. Also, the script is typo-laden. I spotted several even without going in to see the best ending. Some of these errors persist into later prototype buiilds.
Axel still has his white shirt from the Japanese version in this build, though his portrait shows the yellow one he will have by final.
The builds fluctuate on difficulty level, suggesting that trying to figure out the difficulty balance was one of the last thing decided upon. Personally, I feel like that part with the walls was not properly balanced in difficulty compared to other parts (It seems nearly impossible to get through it undamaged, making it feel unfair.). Later builds fluctuate being between being easier, and being harder!
I did not get to check to see if the localization-specific "Easy mode" bad ending has been implemented yet.

For segments of "Yuuki Nae no Ge-mu no Tsubo",there is a section called "Game Side Story", where short stories with an accompanying art piece are narrated by Nae. They are mostly comedic and tie into a video game in some way, with many of them being centered around Mario. Others include parodies of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Bomberman.

You may notice this rip is on a different VCR than usual. And that it's mono sound rather than stereo. This is due to the technical hurdles I had ripping this. My Sony VCR will not play this properly, but for some reason my older Daewoo one does. Strange, isn't it?

"(EDIT: Wow. A contentID claim on one song. Welp, guess I better upload this to alternative places. It'll be on my Twitch soon.)
It's been a while since I put up a new VHS rip, but man, is this one a doozy!
I was linked a Yahoo Japan Auction listing with this, and I jumped at it. I have no idea if I regret it or not.
This VHS is designed to teach Japanese children English with Mario. However, for some reason Mario sounds more like Kirby. Also, Mario is INDIAN?"
An attempt to rip the video contents of the PSP UMD "Demo Disc for PSP Vol.1" which consisted of, basically, just video.
There's no audio in this rip, but it was just some music that was likely ContentID claimed anyway.
