Cinnamon Toast Crunch Toque Gift to Support Team Canada Olympics Sochi 2014
Surprise package in the mail today, as I didn't remember having signed up for it (months before)! Anyways, the free toque came before the Olympics at least! But I think they messed up the Canadian leaf on the reverse.
Video of some crazy lightning storms outside of my home in Toronto, Canada. It is a compilation from two major lightning storms. The beginning shows the most spectacular lightning I've ever seen in one night. Middle shows strange clouds and lightning with a crescent moon in a blue sky at sunset, very surreal. End of the video is a recent storm, with the last frames showing a frighteningly close blast and beautiful "pearls on a string" effect.
Testing the features of my recently acquired Hitachi oscilloscope, and trying to understand the A/B Dual Horizontal option, how Delay works, A/B Separation and more. This 100Mhz 2-channel oscilloscope has nice cursor readouts, a nice display, and built solidly. Found on eBay, a bargain for any first-time electronics hobbyist to learn on. I followed the advice of David L. Jones on EEVblog who recommended an analog "CRO" (cathode ray oscilloscope) for any beginner (see link for his blogs above in the video).
Filmed my gerbil chewing a piece of wood to a pulp and sped up 8x to produce this time-lapse video showing crazy munching power, all to a sample from my weird old track "Worm Hole" in the background creating the perfect strange mood!
Thank you to the folks at Vision Mobile for conducting Developer Economics surveys to gather, analyze and share important information with the mobile developer community! I was lucky enough to participate in a survey and won an iPhone 5c which I will put to very good use! Here I am unboxing it for those folks who want to know what you get in the box.
Using a Gabotronics Xprotolab to display XY oscilloscope demos directly from my Blackberry Torch 9810 headphone output. Demos are "Oscillofun" Atom Delta demo video uploaded by finalman242 on YouTube streamed directly from my Blackberry phone, and "Youscope" wave downloaded from EEVBlog #153 directly to my Blackberry Torch and then played. Wired up to oscilloscope using headphone output left and right channels with common ground.
A quick video review of my new app "Converter Pro" made exclusively for BlackBerry 10. It allows one-finger all-touch ease of use, thanks to a scrolling number and unit picker. All values are shown converted to other units at the same time! Almost 100 units available, and more being added with each update. Converts length, weight, time, temperature, volume, speed, area, design, kitchen, spectrum, angle and pressure related units. The app is small, compact and smooth, utilizing Native Cascades UI code for a BlackBerry exclusive experience. Thanks for downloading!
See how to activate the hidden Porsche Design Clock in your BlackBerry Z10 and save yourself $2000! :-) Jump into the World Clock and add the location "fostah", then cancel it. You will notice a new menu item Backdoor which lets you activate the Porsche design and has some other hidden stuff! You *MUST* restart your clock app (quit and open) and now in your Settings you will have a choice of Analog, Digital and also the new Porsche Design clocks available.
Proud to show the unboxing of my Crystal Blackberry Developer Reward from Blackberry. "Together, We've Accomplished Something Incredible." Glad to be a part of Team Blackberry!
Time-lapse photo HD video showing crazy clouds moving in just before the torrential rain and wind storm on July 19, 2013. This storm caused power outages and the winds damaged trees and signs.
