Book 2: Earth showcases Aang and his team as they learn new bending techniques, explore the world and develop thier ideals and perspectives. Aang, Katara, Zuko, Sokka and Toph travle trough the world, learning about airbending, waterbending, earthbending, firebending and for the first time EVER: Metalbending. With episodes like Zuko alone that really shine as gems of the entire show, it's no surprise that this season is ALMOST perfect. There is no war in Ba Sing Sei, but there sure are phasing problems, which sadly bring this season down a little. Oh, and I can't forget the part where they chüt Aang. Aang also discovers the avatar state this season and learns all about opening his chakaras, but he can't let go of katara, who is both cool and skilled this season. It's a shame that the next one messed it up, Agni Kai and all. Azula is also introduced this season, in what could be one of the most glorious interpretations of bad parenting in animated works.
