INFO: To me it seems like the Pixies were one of those bands that came at just the right point in time. They began their journey in the second half of the 80s and although they didn’t experience a booming success, they did have a big influence on bands like Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Pavement and many others. In some instances their success have been compared to The Velvet Underground. They were ahead of the trend. Or maybe they created the trend itself? The one were artists blended metal, punk and noise with classic rock in a mix of extreme dynamics and stop-start timing.

INFO: The War On Drugs is an indie-rock band that was founded back in 2005. Their first album Wagonwheel Blues was released in 2008 without any commercial success. Later on, when they put out their second album the wheels started turning for the band. Slave Ambient kicked the band off from their underground position and garnered many good reviews. From past to present, the band's popularity has only increased exponentially.

Muse was one of the most iconic bands of the 2000s and has a legacy in rock music that’s still going strong today. They’ve released high charting hits, boundary pushing anthems and dystopian lyrics that have influenced millions of fans world-wide. Hip-hop replaced rock music as the go-to genre sometime during the mid 2000s, and with it’s increasing popularity, some rock bands struggled to keep up with the trends. Muse on the other hand still have a raving fanbase even today in 2020. But a lot of fans turned on them during the 2010s. Why? In this video i’ll explore the band’s early rise to fame, as well as answering this question. What happened to Muse? In this video we'll find out.

INFO: Ulises Venegas is a musician from Mexico who goes under the moniker The Genetist. On his Bandcamp album page he describes Geisha like this:

Today i'm reviewing Vasudeva's newest album No Clearence. Vasudeva is a math-rock and post-rock band from New Jersey, US. It's a three-piece band made up of Corey Mastrangelo, Grant Mayer and Derek Broomhead. And on this record they manage to bring out a warm, technical and authentic sound that bring up warm, spring-memories in my mind. Hope you like it as much as i did.

INFO: Vasudeva's No Clearence was released on Bandcamp during the 31st of march 2017. They've released one EP called "Roots Of The Tree", one live-album called "Vasudeva - Audiotree live", and later years they released their first full length albums "Life In Cycles" and "No Clearence".

The power trio of Ginger Baker on drums, Jack Bruce on bass and Eric Clapton on guitar really hit home with audiences in the west, particularly in the US when they first started to release music. Video info:
Slowdive is a band with a sound and history unlike any other. Formed in Reading just before the 90s the band consisted of key members and teenage couple Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead in addition to a revolving line-up that became more consistent over time. The band experienced early success and got recognition for being a great shoegaze band. Unfortunately they lost the attention almost as quickly as they gained it with the rise of more popular music like grunge and brit-pop. Their one shot at appealing to an evermore critical audience and press was their second album Souvlaki. And if facing pressure from their label and press wasn’t enough, the band was about to collapse. Goswell and Halstead broke up their relationship just before they started to work on the album. And neither of them knew how to function as a newly separated couple in a professional band. Because of this, making Souvlaki lead to isolation, even bigger let-downs, unexpected collaborations and a new beginning.
