Update 7 Sep 2017: Hurricane Irma 185mph & X-class 9.4 Solar Flare Decade Strongest
Hurricane Irma is now the strongest on record sustaining 185mph. It seems to be heading for the Floria East coast and can make a second landfall in the Carolinas.

A powerful 9.4 X-class solar flare was unleashed from sunspot AR2673 on the 6th at 12:02 UTC. It is the strongest in more than a decade, but ranked only 14 of the strongest solar flares on record.

Larger earthquakes remain absent and this is another record between the current extreme natural events. Because of the alignments in the last few days, a larger quake is being anticipated for today or tomorrow.
