The Developers have released a flyable version of the Vanduul Glaive* which is only available to those people who could beat all 18 waves of Vanduul Swarm, and that gave them the opportunity to rent it with in game cash or pledge for it at $350. I was busy this weekend and didn't manage to do this so fast, but, a very kind superfan known only as 'Chris' loaned me his. No, it's not that Chris.
* Technically this is a human reproduction of an alien fighter and therefor in lore terms not as cool as the scythe. However I had a lot more fun flying this vs the Scythe.

In 2014 the 5th and 6th satellites from Europe's Galileo navigation system were launched into the wrong orbit because of a design flaw in the Soyuz/Fregat upper stage. The satellites used on board station keeping fuel to put them into a semi useful orbit, and now, scientists have used the fantastically accurate clocks on board to test gravitational time dilation.
The result is the most accurate test yet of this effect, to within a factor of 0.0019% of what Einstein predicted a century ago.

In my NSWR video I used Kerbal Space Program to visualize the operation of this awesome engine in an imaginary future, this came from a free, fan created mod which covered a whole host of future engine concepts - Far Future Technologies by Nertea.
The mod is available for the latest version of Kerbal Space Program, and I suggest looking at the other mods produced by the same creator covering a number of other space technologies not in the base game.

These designs and many more are covered in much more detail by Winchel Chung's Atomic Rockets website which is an invaluable resource if you're interested in realistic science fiction futures

After some early speed run experimenting someone asked me to build the Millennium Falcon in KSP. Emphasis was on building is fast rather than making it look good, or, able to fly.
